White Tiger

The White Tiger is the western guardian of the Forgotten Continent and the namesake protector of White Tiger City. When two Demon Beasts fatally compromise its soul, it asks Ling Chen to kill its body so the possessing Tyrant Demon Beast will die with it, then uses its remnant consciousness to bless him and recognize Xiao Hui’s Holy Qilin bloodline. (Chapters 519–526)

Biography

Isrock, the New World, and the Lunar Scourge

Early accounts identify the White Tiger as one of four Mysterious God guardian beasts whose power derives from the Holy Qilin. It protects the western main city and helps sustain human civilization under the Moon God Clan’s broader order. The White Tiger does not appear directly in these chapters; its role is introduced through the novice village chief’s explanation of the continent. (Chapters 56–57)

Calamity in the East Ocean Continent

A Japanese player summons an ordinary white tiger pet, but that creature is unrelated to the western guardian. The relevant development is Su’Er’s clue “White Tiger’s Heart,” which Qi Yue interprets as the guardian’s energy and lifeforce core. This points Ling toward White Tiger City in search of a Lunar Scourge orb. (Chapters 410 and 491)

The Defense and Founding of Ling Tian City

Ling finds the White Tiger locked in battle with the Ice and Tyrant Demon Beasts, its soul already half destroyed and its body being possessed. Because guardian lightning cannot harm the Holy Qilin or its protected companions, neither the possessed body nor the surrounding Thunder God Barrier can strike Ling near Xiao Hui. The White Tiger asks Ling to kill it, ensuring the trapped Tyrant soul perishes too. After death, its final consciousness identifies Xiao Hui, yields the orb from its heart, grants Thunder God’s Bulwark, warns about the Lunar Scourge, and dissipates. (Chapters 519–526)

The Underworld and the Forgotten City

The dead White Tiger’s power continues through Ling. Thunder God’s Bulwark absorbs lightning, can convert it into health or magic, and can store it for later release; Ling uses that reserve when ordinary defenses would fail. White Tiger City’s residents also honor a White Tiger Representative at Ling Tian City, but that representative is not the deceased guardian itself. (Chapters 643, 662, and 676)

The Moon God Palace and the Shura’s Return

Ling and Qi Yue repeatedly invoke the White Tiger’s warning while considering Shura power. Qi Yue eventually confesses that after the guardian’s soul had dissipated, she imitated its voice and invented the “Shura Emperor” assurance that sufficient mental strength could preserve consciousness. The Thunder God’s Bulwark remains a genuine blessing, but the later promise attached to the false voice must not be attributed to the White Tiger. (Chapters 749–753)

The Godchild Crisis and Qi Xing

The White Tiger is not revived during the final crisis. Ling compares another Life Domain with the guardian’s Thunder God Barrier to explain that such fields are tied to their creator’s lifeforce and normally persist until canceled or the creator dies. This is a mechanical recollection, not evidence of the White Tiger’s current presence. (Chapter 830)

Appearance and personality

The White Tiger is approximately thirty metres tall, with white fur, violet eyes, and four lightning strokes forming the character for “king” on its forehead. Lightning continually surrounds its body during the final battle, making its physical scale and elemental identity inseparable. (Chapter 519)

Its voice is old, gentle, steady, and holy. It values the dignity of its bloodline above survival, hates evil, protects its city, and accepts death rather than let a Demon Beast use its body for catastrophe. It is also cautious about Ling’s Lunar Scourge, giving trust only after examining his motives and Xiao Hui’s choice. (Chapters 520–526)

Abilities and powers

The White Tiger is a level-one-hundred Mysterious God guardian specializing in lightning. Its arsenal includes the Thunder God Barrier, lightning nets, armor, judgments, large-area thunder, rebirth-related power, and an ultimate blessing. The life-linked barrier can be used only a few times and traps those inside until it is canceled or the White Tiger dies. (Chapters 519–521)

Its body has immense defense and more than five billion maximum health, while its lightning can devastate the surrounding region. It cannot fly or regenerate health during combat. More importantly, its Qilin-derived power cannot harm the Holy Qilin bloodline or a protected companion, allowing Ling to attack the possessed body safely. (Chapters 519–521)

Thunder God’s Bulwark is a once-in-a-lifetime blessing that costs a living White Tiger a century of reduced grade and badly damages a remnant soul. It grants complete lightning absorption and storage, but is transferred to Ling before the guardian disappears; it is not evidence that the White Tiger survives. (Chapters 523–525)

Relationships

  • Ling Chen: The White Tiger asks Ling to deliver the death that prevents possession, then judges his motives and gives him an extraordinary blessing. Ling comes seeking the orb in its heart, but fulfills the guardian’s request and treats its remnant with respect. (Chapters 519–526)
  • Xiao Hui: The White Tiger recognizes Xiao Hui as carrying half of the Holy Qilin bloodline and regards that survival as its greatest final joy. Xiao Hui later consumes the corpse and gains lightning abilities. (Chapters 520 and 523–526)
  • Tyrant Demon Beast: The Tyrant Demon Beast damages and invades the White Tiger’s soul. The White Tiger traps it inside the doomed body so that Ling’s killing blow destroys both beings. (Chapters 519–523)
  • White Tiger City: The guardian spends its life protecting the western city and warns its mayor before dying so Ling will not be condemned for fulfilling its request. (Chapters 519–526)

Items

  • White Tiger’s Heart: The guardian swallows and contains a Lunar Scourge orb for ten thousand years, making the orb part of the energy core sought by Ling. Xiao Hui retrieves it from the corpse after the White Tiger judges Ling a safe bearer. (Chapters 491 and 523–526)
  • No carried weapon: The White Tiger fights with its body, lightning, barriers, and innate guardian power rather than a separate weapon.
