Biography

The Road South and the Fairy Realm

Chief Greenwood receives Ling Chen after he returns Cai’Er to the Fairy Realm and presides over the clan’s response to an unprecedented human visitor. He participates with Granny Witherwood and the elders in discussions surrounding Ying Xue, the realm’s hidden exit, and Ling Chen’s refusal of an arranged marriage. His role combines hospitality with responsibility for protecting the isolation and customs of a threatened people. (Chapters 252–258)

Calamity in the East Ocean Continent

Greenwood uses a Spatial Orb with Yun Meng Xin to reach the hidden Dwarves and propose a shared future outside both peoples’ sealed homes. He openly commits the Fairy Clan to leaving the Fairy Realm and building a city where Fairies and Dwarves can return to the wider continent. This decision converts Ling Chen’s contact into a lasting political alliance and accepts the risks of visibility in exchange for renewal. (Chapters 401–402)

The Defense and Founding of Ling Tian City

When the new city is exposed, Greenwood works with Yun Meng Xin and Dilo to organize its defense. He confirms that nearby natural energy can sustain long-lived vine barriers, then celebrates when the city survives and continues advising its leaders on land and expansion. His contribution is both strategic and magical: he represents Fairy interests while placing the clan’s nature power behind their shared home. (Chapters 546, 602, 609, 620, 627)

The Underworld and the Forgotten City

As imperial forces threaten Ling Tian City, Li Xiao Xue identifies Greenwood as the defender capable of preventing immediate collapse. Though Fairies hate conflict, he coolly orders an attack when negotiation fails and personally channels green power into the ground before the gates. The fighting forces him to accept casualties for survival, and its aftermath leaves him grieving even though the city and many of his people remain safe. (Chapters 660, 671–672, 686)

The Moon God Palace and the Shura’s Return

Greenwood’s formal status within the clan remains high, yet Ling Chen’s restoration of the Fairy Tree gives the human exceptional standing among the Fairies. Later, Greenwood witnesses power from Ling Chen that exceeds even his expectations of the Moon Goddesses and admits that the visitor who once breached their barrier has reached an incomprehensible height. He responds with amazement rather than trying to claim or match that strength. (Chapters 706, 784, 788)

Xiya and the Perfect Moon

Near the end of the restored timeline, Greenwood remains alive and approaches Ling Chen for a further conversation. The brief exchange does not establish a new office, power increase, or departure from Ling Tian City. His latest supported condition is therefore continued leadership of the Fairy Clan within the community his decision helped create. (Chapter 848)

Appearance and personality

Greenwood appears middle-aged despite being the son of the ancient Granny Witherwood. He carries the composure and authority of a chief, balancing the Fairies’ gentle aversion to conflict with the decisiveness required to protect them. He can laugh openly with allies, reason about practical magic, and give a lethal order without pleasure when the clan’s home is under attack. (Chapters 252–258, 401–402, 546, 671–672)

Abilities and powers

Nature magic

Greenwood is a Mysterious God-grade Fairy whose power draws on natural energy. He can help create persistent vine defenses and unleash large-scale green magic through the ground against an army. His effectiveness varies with the surrounding concentration of nature energy, and the corpus does not support equating him with Ling Chen’s final Shura-level power. (Chapters 546, 671–672, 784–788)

Leadership

As chief, Greenwood speaks for the Fairy Clan, negotiates migration, coordinates with Dwarves and human administrators, and commands Fairy combatants. His authority is persuasive rather than absolute: elders and Granny Witherwood also shape major clan decisions, while Meng Xin and Li Xiao Xue direct much of Ling Tian City’s wider strategy. Relationships

• Ling Chen begins as an alarming human intruder but becomes the benefactor who restores the Fairy Tree and helps create a new home for Greenwood’s people. (Chapters 252–258, 401–402, 706–788)
• Yun Meng Xin is Greenwood’s principal human partner in founding and defending Ling Tian City. He responds to her strategy while representing the Fairies’ capabilities and needs. (Chapters 401–402, 546–672)
