Michael
Michael is Luciel's twin and Malach's foremost battle archangel, an absolutist whose envy and hunger for power eventually corrupt the society he leads.
Biography
Malach's envoy confronts Yeon-woo
Michael arrives as an envoy investigating the vanished creator gods and treats Yeon-woo's resistance as an affront to Malach's absolute good. Yeon-woo cuts away one of his wings, forcing the archangel to retreat without the result he wanted. Michael later returns with a regrown limb and formally invites the Death King to Eden, showing that institutional necessity can make him negotiate even after personal humiliation. (Chapters 601–603 and 642–643)
Envy turns Malach toward the Night
After Metatron's loss, Michael becomes Malach's effective leader and collaborates with Sage's side. Athena exposes the envy behind his old claim that he killed Luciel only for peace: Michael had resented his twin's rise and stabbed him while pretending neutrality. Provoked by that truth, he swallows the Soulstone Temperantia, converts holy power toward the Night, and infects Malach with the resulting corruption before Jeong-woo pierces his spirit and kills that incarnation. (Chapters 715 and 743–767; Chapter 794)
Rewind restores the archangel
Yeon-woo's later rewind reconstructs the wedding-era world and brings back figures lost in the prior sequence, including Michael and Metatron. The restored Michael therefore appears alive within the latest scoped timeline, but the reversal does not make the corruption and death of the earlier sequence imaginary; it changes which state remains final after the wheel is turned back. (Chapters 853–860)
Appearance and personality
Michael is a beautiful archangel with vivid lips and multiple white wings; his presence becomes increasingly fierce when challenged. He is militant, competitive, and absolutist, hating demons and whatever he defines as evil. Beneath that doctrine lies an inferiority complex toward Luciel, and attacks on that insecurity rapidly turn disciplined hostility into reckless killing intent. (Chapters 601–603 and 757)
Abilities and powers
Michael combines archangelic holy power, swordsmanship, multiple-winged flight, and enormous fire attacks. He is physically formidable even among Malach's leaders, but Yeon-woo can sever a wing and Athena can pressure him before the Soulstone transformation. Swallowing Temperantia fits his soul especially well because he is Luciel's twin, multiplying his power and converting him toward the Night; the amplification also spreads corruption through Malach and leaves his spirit vulnerable to Jeong-woo's decisive strike. (Chapters 601–603 and 757–767)
