Uruselam
Uruselam is a serene Hand of God leader whose authority and restraint are tested when an expedition into a hidden realm becomes a prolonged survival crisis.
Biography
The Hidden Realm Expedition
Uruselam joins the Hand of God expedition into the hidden realm as one of its B-Grade leaders. His long white brows, broad ears, calm smile, and monk-like manner make him appear less martial than the other cultivators, but he is one of the group’s most powerful members. He offers a measured theory about the realm’s immense scale: its former owner may have been a peak A-Grade whose inner world had an unusually complete energy circulation. His explanations help frame the expedition’s mystery without pretending certainty. (Chapters 379, 384, 386)
The group’s confidence breaks when the temple’s dragon reveals an aura greater than any of the B-Grades present. Uruselam recognizes that it is late B-Grade and calls on the others to fight for their survival. The battle leaves only nine cultivators alive; his protective bubble wavers under the shock of a fellow cultivator’s self-detonation and later fails when he has spent too much energy. With the dragon defeated, Uruselam senses that the sealed cubes contain treasures and joins the effort to understand their intersecting lines. He and Spacewind judge that decoding them may take months or years, but Jack’s prior familiarity with the pattern changes the situation. (Chapters 395–401)
After Jack, Brock, and Min Ling fall into a seemingly bottomless shaft, Spacewind attacks Uruselam’s spatial restraints to pursue them, exposing their worsening rivalry. Trapped with the survivors, Uruselam apologizes for Spacewind’s earlier treatment of them and argues that blame will not solve their predicament. He then tells the cultivators they may be trapped for hundreds or thousands of years and proposes a practical survival plan: subdue the jungle’s beasts and use them as scouts. Later, he questions Jack about the beasts and senses the change in Jack’s energy and Dao. His final scenes show him trying to establish cooperation in an uncertain exile rather than escalating the feud. (Chapters 402–403, 405, 409, 487–488)
Appearance and personality
Uruselam is a white-haired, white-browed man with broad ears that flap as he moves. He presents himself as serene and courteous, though his authority can turn severe under pressure. He prioritizes workable solutions after the expedition collapses and acknowledges responsibility for the conduct of people under his faction’s banner. (Chapters 379, 384, 405, 409)
Abilities and cultivation
Uruselam is a B-Grade cultivator and a leader of the Hand of God expedition. He is powerful enough to travel with the other B-Grades, and his protective bubble can deflect some of the shockwaves from an inner-world detonation, though it wavers under the impact and he later dissolves it as his reserves run low. He also uses spatial restraints, which Spacewind tears apart while chasing Jack’s group. The source does not specify Uruselam’s exact level, Dao, or a lasting advancement. (Chapters 386–398, 402)
