Sidonie

Sidonie Val Freesia is the Third Princess of Freesia, later acclaimed as an empress after leading a Kraetor-backed conquest during the Southern Continental War. She bears the Sin of Lust and shares her body for most of the story with Morgana, a separate consciousness who first appeared in Sidonie's mind when her powers awakened. Sidonie's search for someone capable of loving her without succumbing to her charm leads her to William, while her political judgment and willingness to fight turn that romance into an alliance with consequences across several continents. Biography

A veiled princess and a continental throne

Sidonie arrives in the Hellan Kingdom as Freesia's veiled Third Princess, outwardly poised enough to tolerate Prince Lionel's attentions but privately timid and protected by Morgana within her Sea of Consciousness. Morgana had begun speaking to her on her tenth birthday, at the same time Sidonie's charm awakened and nearly caused a disaster. The two grow close as sisters while remaining distinct minds: Sidonie can retreat inward and let Morgana control their shared body, and Morgana screens possible partners because Sidonie wants love that is not manufactured by her power. William becomes the first serious candidate when his resistance to both her sealed pheromones and deliberate charm survives their first dance and later confrontation. (Chapters 278–282 and 350–356)

The Organization's attack destroys Sidonie's security in Freesia and turns her from a royal guest into an active wartime leader. Having already charmed one of the enemy's agents, she recognizes the danger early, escapes capture with Priscilla, and seeks an army large enough to contest the occupation. She allies with William because each needs the other's resources, uses the Ant Queen and her intelligence network to support operations, then rallies the Kraetor forces and directs a pincer campaign against the Anaesha Dynasty. After taking its capital, Sidonie negotiates from strength: she accepts Lionel and Rufus as prisoners, spares Conner's surviving men, pauses her advance against Hellan, and makes continuing peace depend on William, turning conquest into leverage rather than indiscriminate revenge. Installed on the conquered throne as Empress Sidonie, she secretly compromises key members of the Elven delegation through charm and uses what they see and hear to undermine the invasion threatening Hellan. During the decisive battle she takes a calculated risk in the Immortal Empress Armor, knowing it can revive her after death; William nevertheless spends his own one-use protection to restore her immediately, convincing Sidonie that his concern is the sincere love she has sought. She invokes an earlier contractual favor and voluntarily asks him to fasten his slave collar around her neck. Kraetor custom makes that choice equivalent to accepting a lifelong partner, while royal blood prevents actual enslavement, so Sidonie secures their engagement before William understands the tradition and ends the war as both a sovereign and his chosen fiancée. From courtly power to a fighter's resolve

In Kraetor, Sidonie's relationship with William develops from political courtship into marriage and a shared household with Ashe and Chiffon. She can be possessive—the theft of her collar provokes a violent response because she regards it as the proof of her bond—but she also learns to accommodate William's existing partners rather than treat them as enemies. When the Tower of Babylon separates William and Chiffon from the others, Sidonie waits with Ashe, helps protect those connected to him, and accepts Chiffon after William's return. Her place beside him is therefore no longer merely the reward of a successful stratagem; it becomes part of a family whose members support one another through separation, danger, and rivalry. (Chapters 509–564, 594–647, and 677–687)

Sidonie also decides that authority and overwhelming charm are not enough. Accustomed to issuing orders and physically less capable than her martial companions, she joins dangerous dungeon training because she does not want to remain a damsel whom William must repeatedly rescue. In her Succubus form she flies, hurls volleys of fire, and persists through exhaustion against ranked monsters while Ashe, Chiffon, and the others encourage her. She remains behind during William's time in the Deadlands, but helps hold their family together, receives his returning allies, and uses her political knowledge as displaced Demon clans and new threats reshape the balance of the Central Continent. When William prepares to travel to the Demon Continent, Sidonie offers to accompany him and put her knowledge to use, but ultimately entrusts his safety to Chiffon. Later, when Ahriman's barrier traps her in the Thousand Beast Domain while William is being overwhelmed, she refuses the safety of watching from afar and chooses to enter the battle as soon as a path opens. She flies toward William after Felix pierces him, only for Ahriman to impale her with two spears and kill her. Her soul's powerful Lust Divinity makes it valuable to Ahriman, but the God of Death removes it beyond his reach; William preserves Sidonie's body in ice rather than accept that her death must be permanent. A soul in Lust's Abode and a life restored

Sidonie's soul reaches Lust's Abode with Ashe and Morgana. Death changes the conditions of their coexistence without erasing their identities: Morgana receives a spirit body of her own and becomes Sidonie's physical double, while Sidonie remains the original bearer of the body preserved on the surface. The two live together with Ashe and reject other suitors, including a prince whose charm cannot affect the bearer of Lust. When William finally finds them, Sidonie's longing gives way to immediate reunion, yet she accepts that he must continue through the Underworld before he can carry them home. (Chapters 1299–1305)

On William's return, Sidonie and Morgana personally solve the obstacle posed by charm-resistant guards. Rather than target the guards, they charm hundreds of residents and leave hidden within the resulting crowd, allowing Sidonie, Morgana, and Ashe to cross the gate unnoticed. Sidonie consents to enter a crystal vessel for the journey, supports William when Thanatos confronts him, and, after the vessels are broken, merges her soul with William alongside Morgana, Chiffon, and Ashe. Their combined presence lends him power and turns rescue from a passive deliverance into another choice Sidonie makes with her family. (Chapters 1409–1416)

Back on the surface, William returns Sidonie's soul to her preserved body at the Spring of Life. She awakens unable to move normally at first, but soon walks again and resumes her life; the narrative continues to treat Morgana as a separate consciousness even though only Sidonie's original mortal body is explicitly restored. Sidonie renews her vows with William in the great wedding ceremony, escorted by her father, and survives the War of Destruction with her family. By the final recorded period she has given birth to their daughter Callista and is visiting Freesia so her father and brother can meet the child, completing the future of freely chosen love and family that she and Morgana imagined years before. Appearance and personality

Sidonie has long reddish-brown hair, hazel eyes, and beauty repeatedly described as capable of toppling nations. She initially hides her face behind a silver veil, partly limiting the effect she has on others. When Morgana takes control, their shared hazel eyes turn gold and Sidonie's manner becomes noticeably bolder. Her full Succubus form adds golden eyes, two small horns, batlike wings, and a serpentine tail. (Chapters 278–282, 350–351, 677, and 900)

Her courtly composure conceals a romantic and sometimes shy young woman who wants affection she can trust. Sidonie is calculating when survival or statecraft demands it—she gathers intelligence through charmed agents, makes hard bargains, and deliberately exploits Kraetor custom to bind her future to William—but she is not interchangeable with the more uninhibited Morgana. Her maturation is most visible in the decision to train for direct combat and in her willingness to risk death beside William: she moves from relying on Morgana and subordinates for protection to claiming personal responsibility for the people and future she has chosen. Skills, classes, and divinities

Sidonie's principal power comes from the Sin of Lust and the patronage of Eros. Her abilities center on charm, perception through charmed targets, and a Succubus transformation that adds flight and offensive magic. The corpus identifies her title as Succubus Princess but does not provide a conventional Job Class sheet or final numerical rank, so her demonstrated powers are more reliable than an inferred class progression.

Sin of Lust and charm

Sidonie's charm awakened around her tenth birthday, when Morgana first spoke inside her mind, and was dangerous enough to nearly cause a national disaster. Even while her active powers are sealed, her body emits pheromones that attract nearby men and women. Deliberate use can issue compelling commands, operate through eye contact and even a communication crystal, and remain planted in a target's consciousness until Sidonie chooses to exert control. Charmed targets can also become remote sources of sight, hearing, and confidential intelligence, which lets her undermine the Elven invasion from within. (Chapters 278–282, 325, 350–351, 418, and 510)

The power is immense but not absolute. William resists because Eros trained him against seduction, royal or protective artifacts can slow the effect, strong will can resist exposure at a distance, and other bearers of the Seven Deadly Sins are immune even when Sidonie and Morgana act together. Charm-resistant Underworld guards likewise force the pair to target ordinary residents instead. By that late use, they can coordinate hundreds of people into a moving screen, demonstrating large-scale control without establishing an unlimited range or duration. (Chapters 351, 418–419, 678, 793, 1300, and 1409–1410)

Morgana and shared embodiment

Morgana is a separate consciousness, not an alias for a change in Sidonie's mood. Sidonie can withdraw into their Sea of Consciousness and voluntarily hand control of the body to her; Morgana can also seize control to protect Sidonie in grave danger. The visible change to golden eyes, more forceful spiritual pressure, and bolder conduct lets companions distinguish who is acting, while both minds retain awareness of events and negotiate decisions. The arrangement gives Sidonie protection and confidence, but it also means actions taken with the shared body may belong specifically to Morgana rather than to Sidonie. (Chapters 278, 280–282, and 350–356)

Death temporarily removes the physical constraint of sharing one vessel: in Lust's Abode Morgana gains her own spirit body, identical to Sidonie's, and the two act independently. Both souls later merge with William during his confrontation with Thanatos. Sidonie is explicitly returned to her preserved mortal body at the Spring of Life; later scenes still name Morgana separately, but the corpus does not fully explain the post-revival mechanics of her embodiment. Succubus form, magic, and divine protection

When Sidonie releases her Succubus power, she grows horns, wings, and a tail, gains aerial mobility, and can produce destructive purple fireballs. In dungeon training she fires repeated volleys strong enough to kill an Orc Warrior but becomes winded, and the narrative explicitly notes that physical combat is not her strength. Her decision to keep fighting develops experience rather than removing that limitation; no later chapter establishes a named upgrade or a final mastered rank. (Chapters 677 and 758)

Eros can intervene only under the rules governing the gods. During the Elven war, the goddess places Divine Charm on the wounded Eneru after an attack cuts dimensional space, allowing later manipulation, but that feat depends on Eros's intervention and is not Sidonie's independent spell. Eros also gives Sidonie the Immortal Empress Armor, which revives its wearer one hour after death and can activate once every three days. Sidonie knowingly relies on that protection during the war, though William revives her first with another artifact; the armor does not prevent her later death at Ahriman's hands. • William: William's resistance to Sidonie's charm makes him the first person she can trust to desire her freely. Their political alliance becomes an engagement through the voluntary collar custom and then marriage; she trains to fight beside him, dies trying to reach him, and returns from the Underworld to renew their vows and raise their daughter. (Chapters 282, 350–356, 418–510, 758, 1073–1076, and 1410–1469)
• Morgana: Morgana is Sidonie's protective “older sister” and a distinct consciousness who shares her body, not another name for Sidonie. They consult one another, exchange control, love William independently, gain separate spirit bodies in the Underworld, and later remain separately named after the return to the surface. (Chapters 278–282, 350–356, 510, 1300–1305, and 1423–1425)
• Ashe: Ashe begins wary of Sidonie's influence over William, then becomes her retainer, confidante, training companion, and sister within their shared family. They die in the same battle, live together in Lust's Abode, and escape the Underworld together. (Chapters 354–359, 628–793, 1073–1076, and 1299–1418)
• Chiffon: Sidonie accepts Chiffon after her marriage to William, trains beside her, and entrusts William to her when he travels to the Demon Continent. Chiffon's place in the household helps Sidonie replace romantic competition with mutual protection. (Chapters 527–564, 637–647, 758, and 954)
• Lilith: Lilith is initially Sidonie's rival among the Seven Sins and provokes her by stealing the collar that symbolizes her engagement. Their conflict gradually settles into a competitive alliance, and both choose to join the battle against Ahriman for William's sake. (Chapters 628, 677–687, 793, and 1073–1075)
• Ahriman: Ahriman kills Sidonie when she tries to reach the wounded William and covets her soul because it carries a powerful Divinity. That act separates her soul from her preserved body and makes her rescue from the Underworld part of William's larger war against him. (Chapters 1075–1076 and 1091)

• Mithril Slave Collar: Sidonie voluntarily asks William to place the collar around her neck. Kraetor royal blood makes her immune to its enslaving commands, while Kraetor custom treats her free choice as a lifelong partnership; she therefore regards it as the treasured symbol of their engagement rather than an instrument of captivity. (Chapters 508–510 and 677–678)
• Onyx Medallion: The medallion is a sacred relic originally belonging to Sidonie's Beast Companion, the Ant Queen. By the time Sidonie meets William it is in his custody, and the Ant Queen authorizes him—not Sidonie—to use its power to summon members of the ant colony. Its importance to Sidonie lies in that alliance and connection, not in personal ownership during her story. (Chapters 250 and 354)
