Neville

Neville Stomper is an AJ Entertainment producer who enables director Matthew's abuse of performers. His dependence on Matthew's protection leads him to ignore Gary Dem's warning and participate in a retaliation that destroys their faction within the company.

Biography

Fear and ambition inside AJ Entertainment

Ash assigns Neville and Matthew to oversee AJ's rookie program, leaving Neville caught between Ash's leadership and Matthew's attempted takeover. Neville takes out that insecurity on Gary, excludes him from the program, and pressures Spring to sleep with Matthew in exchange for a leading role. After Gary interrupts and threatens to expose them, Neville promises to stop but immediately asks Matthew for revenge. They arrange for Ashen gang members to ambush Gary while Matthew isolates the performers, showing that Neville values protection and status over the safety of the talent he manages. (Chapters 626–630)

Neville realizes too late that Gary is AJ's majority owner and closely tied to the Howlers. He rushes into Matthew's locked room to warn him, but does not release or help the endangered performers. Gary breaks through the door, restrains Neville, and knocks him unconscious before Ash announces that their conduct will be reported to White Rose. By the next account neither Neville nor Matthew can be contacted, and Ash begins purging their supporters. The corpus does not show whether Neville is arrested, hospitalized, killed, or successfully goes into hiding. (Chapters 634–637)

Appearance and personality

Neville has curly hair and wears conspicuously stylish clothing, including a short jacket chosen more for fashion than practicality. He is arrogant toward those he thinks cannot retaliate, but visibly shakes before the Howlers and changes allegiance according to whoever frightens him most. His brief attempt to warn Matthew is self-preservation, not a rejection of their abuse. (Chapters 627–628, 634–635)

Powers and abilities

Neville is not identified as an Altered and demonstrates no combat or supernatural ability. He has production authority, editing access, industry contacts, and knowledge of AJ's media influence, which he uses to sideline Gary and expects will suppress scandal. Those institutional tools depend on Matthew and the Ashen faction; once Gary and Ash confront them directly, Neville cannot defend himself or control the story. (Chapters 627–630, 635–637)
