Hannah

Hannah is a small-squad captain in the Red Vampires who recruits the disguised Quinn and later becomes his reluctant guide. Her loyalty to the movement draws her into conflict with Jessica, but travelling with Quinn's group and witnessing Layla's leadership gives that loyalty a less coercive direction. Biography

Recruiting for the Red Vampires

Hannah has lived among humans in a small town with several other vampires when she approaches Quinn, travelling under a disguise, and Jessica. She sees their bounties and apparent strength as assets, offers them hooded robes and shelter, and recruits them into her Red Vampire squad. Although her branch prefers persuasion to indiscriminate killing, its objective is still to turn humanity into vampires; Hannah also hopes to recover the Red Heart and infiltrate the Vampire Corps. Her devotion centres on an idealised version of Quinn. She wears the movement's red mask and displays its symbol as a tattoo, explaining that ordinary followers such as herself do not possess the luminous mark carried by dedicated followers. She believes those true marks strengthen vampires and connect them to Quinn, but the tattoo itself grants no demonstrated power. Hannah leads the group through Vampire Corps recruitment and the beast-horde test, where Quinn's concealed strength repeatedly exceeds her expectations. Conflict with Jessica and imprisonment

Hannah's subordinate Derik tries to control Quinn's companions without her approval. She arrives intending to stop him, but the sight of Jessica's Dhampir eye overrides that objection: because Dhampirs have killed people close to the Red Vampires, Hannah chooses Derik's side and orders Jessica's death. Hannah chooses to remain at the base with Layla rather than continue travelling with Quinn. Appearance and personality

Hannah wears a hooded robe and a red half-Oni mask associated with the Red Vampires. She has their symbol tattooed beneath her clothing, but explicitly distinguishes it from a power-granting follower mark. Vampire physiology and blood aura

Hannah has a vampire's enhanced speed, strength, healing, and ability to shape blood aura. She fires red lines of aura through a short blade, coats weapons for close combat, and raises a blood wall. Minny's blood-rifle attack pierces her strongest wall, demonstrating that its durability is finite. (Chapter 1640)

She can add blood aura to a weapon already coated in Lucia's Qi, producing a joint attack neither could create alone. Hannah explicitly cannot generate Qi herself; the technique depends on Lucia supplying it, so it is cooperation rather than a personal Qi power. (Chapters 1682 and 1717)
