Hanhai is the former master of Cloud Water Heavenly Palace, remembered as a powerful water-law cultivator whose grief and testimony survive long after his physical death.

Biography

The Revelation of the Cloud Water Map

Early palace remnants preserve Hanhai's name and his rules for treasures reserved for Cloud Water disciples. Later visions reveal him as a relaxed but resolute palace master who refuses defeatism during the ancient crisis and speaks with Patriarch Taiyi about the Heavenly Doctor's plan. After the palace's destruction, Hanhai persists as an azure phantom and insists that Tian Jue, not the Heavenly Doctor, annihilated his sect. Li Fan eventually finds that the original body is gone and only a tormented bead-like remnant remains, its disturbed emotions releasing waves through the sealed residence. Appearance and personality

Hanhai appears in memory as a composed sect master seated in the great hall, while his later manifestation is an azure phantom trembling like turbulent water. His final remnant is a rotating blue-white bead marked by an intrusive black streak rather than an ordinary body. He is protective of the palace, openly angry at cowardice, and absolutely certain about the identity of its destroyer, though other survivors question whether time has damaged memory. Hanhai water law

Hanhai embodies an expansive water law related to, but greater in scale than, the Congyun Sea. Observing his power allows Li Fan to model Hanhai law through the Canghai Pearl during Golden Core experiments. The law can overwhelm and suppress Patriarch Taiyi, yet Hanhai's peak is assessed only retrospectively as no more than peak Dao Integration, not Longevity. His surviving bead continues to emit force involuntarily when emotional torment disrupts its sleep. (Chapters 243–245; Chapter 599; Chapter 1136)
