Biography

The Revelation of the Cloud Water Map

Baili Chen awakens Patriarch Taiyi by invoking his descent from the Cloud Water Celestial Palace. Taiyi recognizes the Whisking Cloud aura, then also accepts Li Fan's Cloud Water Illusory Dream Art as Qin Tang's lineage and orders the two claimants to settle ownership by a restrained sect spar. After Li Fan wins, Taiyi gives him the Cloud Water Map and teleports the defeated claimant away. Later lives exploit the same damaged recognition: Li Fan's clone and Sikong Yi's disguised double separately obtain the map, while Chapter 123 shows the embedded broken sword tormenting Taiyi whenever the palace catastrophe intensifies. Appearance and personality

Taiyi is a colossal turtle-snake creature carrying Taiyi Hall on his back, with two black snakes around his head and tail and countless broken swords embedded throughout his bloody body. He is ancient, courteous toward recognized disciples, nostalgic, and eager to comment on techniques, but pain and age make his thought and speech markedly slow. (Chapters 86–87, 123)

Abilities and cultivation

Taiyi Hall guardianship

Taiyi can animate and move the entire hall, manipulate the surrounding broken-sword field, recognize inherited cultivation auras, establish a sealed arena, and teleport petitioners out of the palace. These functions remain formidable, yet his delayed reactions and failing memory allow deception by copied lineages and changed identities. The corpus does not assign him a conventional mortal cultivation realm. (Chapters 86–87, 215, 485)

Relationships

Baili Chen and Li Fan both approach as claimed descendants, while Qin Tang is the predecessor whose aura validates Li Fan's technique. Hanhai entrusted the map only to Cloud Water disciples. The broken Heavenly Calamity Sword fragment embedded in Taiyi is a continuing source of pain rather than an ally. (Chapters 86–87, 123)
