Snowy Death
Snowy Death is an unaffiliated Bandit who joins Zhang Yang's early Black Claw dungeon parties. He is less polished than the group's future elite players, but his willingness to trust Zhang Yang, compete for close-range equipment, and keep attempting difficult mechanics makes him a recurring member of the first cross-guild team. (Chapters 14–30 and 41)
Biography
Rebirth and White Jade City
Snowy Death enters the story during the party's first Black Claw Temple run, contributing 3,313 damage, or eleven percent of the group total, in the initial recorded damage ranking. He asks Zhang Yang to explain the plan before the next fight and then follows the instructions even when the encounter introduces targeted venom that strikes him for two hundred damage. His questions are practical rather than defiant: he wants to know what will happen, but accepts Zhang Yang as the player best able to direct the group. (Chapters 14–16)
During the paired Curse of Water and Curse of Fire encounter, Snowy Death initially performs the separation mechanic correctly. He later dies in the boss's fire pits, yet answers Pride guild members who complain about Zhang Yang's command by saying that he trusts the Guardian. The unaffiliated members consequently stay aligned with Zhang Yang rather than the larger guild contingent, and Snowy Death receives the Lord's Hat from the victory. His support becomes openly enthusiastic afterward, when he says he has already become a fan. (Chapters 17–20)
Snowy Death's competitive side appears when an unnamed Black-Steel pair of fist weapons drops. He wins the roll against fellow Bandit Crimson Fire, immediately equips the upgrade, and flaunts it; his damage then reaches 4,863, or nine percent of the recorded total. He is also eager to pursue the Hardcore Mode first clear and accepts Zhang Yang's condition that the party leader may reserve a crafting recipe, showing that his appetite for rewards does not override an agreement stated in advance. (Chapters 21–23)
Hardcore Mode exposes the limits of his execution. Snowy Death dies with Defiant Monk when their potions are still on cooldown, suggests that the group accept its present limits and return stronger, but follows Zhang Yang once a safe position is found. In later attempts he is killed because the melee group cannot fit inside the protective crack, briefly confuses left and right during a directional mechanic, and is too slow to shelter from Shadow Blast. He nevertheless keeps participating and calls Zhang Yang his idol rather than blaming the leader for those failures. (Chapters 24–30)
The roster formally records Snowy Death as a Bandit with no affiliation. His last documented contact comes when he messages Zhang Yang to ask, in admiring terms, why he was not invited to another boss fight. The message preserves the relationship established in Black Claw: Snowy Death remains an active acquaintance who wants access to difficult content, although the supplied corpus does not document a later guild, profession change, or endgame role for him. (Chapters 27 and 41)
Appearance and personality
The corpus does not provide Snowy Death with a distinctive face, build, hair color, or real-world appearance. His visible gameplay identity is that of a Bandit fighting at melee range with fist weapons, and he openly displays the Black-Steel pair after winning it from Crimson Fire. (Chapters 21–23)
Snowy Death is talkative, reward-conscious, and sometimes impulsive. He asks for plans, celebrates equipment, becomes impatient with repeated failure, and can react more slowly than the encounter demands. Those weaknesses coexist with a strong willingness to trust demonstrated competence: he defends Zhang Yang against guild pressure, continues after several deaths, and repeatedly addresses him as a professional-level player or idol. (Chapters 15, 18, 20–25, 29–30, and 41)
Abilities and gameplay
Snowy Death is a melee Bandit whose demonstrated contribution comes from repeated basic attacks and upgraded fist weapons rather than a named personal skill rotation. His early damage totals rise from 3,313 to 4,863 across recorded fights, but his share falls from eleven to nine percent as the party's overall output changes; those figures describe two encounters, not a fixed character statistic. (Chapters 14 and 21)
Bandit combat
Bandits rely on close-range physical damage, and Snowy Death equips a Black-Steel fist-weapon upgrade as soon as he wins it. He understands the class's broader stat problem against heavily armored targets, agreeing that Thieves and similar high-Dexterity, low-Strength builds struggle to penetrate exceptional defense. The corpus does not name any exclusive Snowy Death skill, stealth technique, crowd-control ability, or permanent numerical build, so his documented performance should not be expanded beyond weapon-based melee damage. (Chapters 21–23 and 30)
Encounter execution and limits
Snowy Death can follow coordinated instructions: he handles the first paired-curse separation, accepts the Hardcore safe-position plan, and keeps pace with the group through several attempts. He is nevertheless vulnerable to mechanics that punish melee positioning or require quick directional reactions. Potion cooldowns prevent recovery in one attempt, too little space excludes melee fighters from a shelter in another, and his delayed movement causes a later Shadow Blast death. These are demonstrated execution and class-positioning limits, not evidence that Bandits in general cannot complete the encounters. (Chapters 17, 24–26, and 29)
Dungeon death is temporary player-character failure rather than a permanent narrative death. Snowy Death returns for subsequent attempts after being killed by fire pits, curses, and Shadow Blast, allowing him to learn the encounter even though he never becomes its principal strategist. (Chapters 18 and 24–30)
Relationships
- Zhang Yang: Snowy Death accepts Zhang Yang's encounter plans, defends him when Pride members object, and progresses from trust to open admiration. His last message asks why Zhang Yang did not invite him to another boss. (Chapters 15, 18–20, 25, 30, and 41)
- Crimson Fire: A fellow Bandit and early teammate who competes with Snowy Death for fist weapons. Snowy Death wins their roll and immediately shows off the upgrade, establishing a playful equipment rivalry within the party. (Chapters 21–23)
- Flame Emperor: A recurring member of the same mixed-affiliation Black Claw group. Both choose to remain with Zhang Yang's strategy during the early dungeon conflict. (Chapters 18–19 and 27)
- Phantom Day: Another unaffiliated early teammate who shares Snowy Death's dungeon progression and some of the same lethal melee-positioning risks. (Chapters 26–27)
Items
- Lord's Hat: An early dungeon reward assigned to Snowy Death after the group defeats the paired-curse encounter. (Chapter 19)
- Black-Steel fist weapons: An unnamed pair of Bandit weapons that Snowy Death wins in a roll against Crimson Fire, equips immediately, and uses in the following damage ranking. (Chapters 21–23)
