Luo Yang Ming identifies Liu Shu Yan as the planner who used him to drug Wei Zhang Tao and intended further staged accidents against Han Ying Xue and Wei Yan Er. His confession reopens the homicide investigation, but Liu leaves without charges because he has no recording or independent evidence connecting her to the scheme. Zhang Yang later suspects her of arranging the burning of his apartment as revenge, though that attribution remains suspicion until he unexpectedly finds her again. Cornered by Zhang Yang and Fatty Han, she denies wrongdoing and chooses every word carefully to avoid a recording. Fatty Han then subjects her to coercive sexual violence and records her confession; she turns herself in, reveals her crimes, and receives a sentence stated to be at least twenty years. Appearance and personality

Liu Shu Yan is described as conventionally attractive, with a curving figure; at the final confrontation she wears high heels and nearly transparent thigh-high stockings. More consequentially, she is cautious, manipulative, sexually performative under threat, and adept at insulating herself from evidence. Her escape from the first investigation demonstrates planning discipline, while her eventual confession comes only after extreme coercion. (Chapters 322 and 390)

Abilities and gameplay

Liu Shu Yan has no game avatar or supernatural ability. Her methods are indirect: she delegates incriminating acts, avoids recorded planning, uses rumors and staged accidents, and chooses legally guarded language when confronted. Those methods initially defeat the investigation, but reliance on Luo Yang Ming as an operative creates the accusation that keeps Zhang Yang focused on her. (Chapters 321–322 and 390)
