Dusk Phoenix

Dusk Phoenix is a leading European Thief, guild master of Hell's Family, holder of the Class A Blood Angel Inheritance, and the Luxembourg princess who identifies herself as the future Grand Duchess. She begins as one of Zhang Yang's strongest international rivals, repeatedly hunts him, then becomes a situational ally, territorial ruler, financial supporter, and real-world protector of his household. (Chapters 439–443, 544–552, 630–632, 719–735, and 850–856)

Biography

Inheritances and territorial war

Dusk Phoenix enters the Realm of Sacred Glory at the top of its leaderboard, a Level 93 European Bandit with the highest recorded Glory score. She attacks Xindalo from her White Lion, later enters the event's free-for-all from stealth, kills a weakened Captain America with Ambush and Kidney Shot, and uses negotiation and seduction as tactical feints against Zhang Yang. Her necklace's dragon attack and a brief immunity effect nearly reverse the fight, but Zhang anticipates both the trap and the burst; she finishes third and vows revenge. (Chapters 439–443)

That vow becomes an extended pursuit. Dusk uses stealth, high evasion, magic resistance, dual weapons, a flying mount, potions, and a tracking crystal to find Zhang in isolated high-level areas. In their first rematch she cannot overcome his defense and companions, but she demonstrates the patience to disengage, hide, return, and pursue from the air. The crystal gives her exact positional information through a projected map, although its repeated-use limit and underlying origin are never explained. (Chapters 505–507 and 545–546)

Europe then mobilizes about seventy thousand high-level players and two Forbidden Scrolls to defeat the boss associated with the Class A Blood Angel Inheritance, which Dusk acquires. She times her next attack for the cooldown on Zhang's God of War Transformation and becomes the only opponent then known to force him into sustained retreat: transformed, she can fly freely, moves far faster than his normal form, and continues hunting through a cave for the full two-hour duration. Terrain, escape skills, and the tracking crystal's cooldown keep him alive until her transformation ends and she withdraws. (Chapters 544–546 and 596)

During a later inheritance contest, Dusk disguises herself and targets the person she believes to be Han Ying Xue, only to discover that Zhang has taken Han's form. Her Blood Angel form, healer companion, and ground combat prolong the duel, but limited aerial experience and her failure to invoke Blood Angel's Requiem before dying contribute to defeat. Their rivalry subsequently crosses into real life at the Luxembourg championship venue: Dusk reveals herself as Luisa, daughter of Grand Duke Henri and future Grand Duchess, uses her castle staff and influence to isolate Zhang, and attacks him with a whip before the confrontation turns into a personal entanglement. She nevertheless continues competing through Hell Battle Team, whose quarterfinal advance depends on two points she wins with her inheritance-enhanced play. (Chapters 551–552 and 630–632)

Forrest Gump's Fortress and late-game alliances

At the conquest later awarded as Forrest Gump's Fortress, Dusk asks Zhang, Sun Xin Yu, and Han Ying Xue to help her claim the Territory Order. She waits through the early bloodshed instead of exposing herself as the holder, advances behind the allied group once the field has thinned, and secures the order at the end. Her timing turns Hourglass Figure's two costly Forbidden Scrolls into preparation for Dusk's victory and makes the fortress a private territory under her control. (Chapters 719–722)

Dusk later places Hell's Family beside Lone Desert Smoke and Crimson Rage during an international world-boss confrontation. When God's Left Hand objects that she is aiding China despite belonging to Europe, she points out that he has already allied with North America and Japan-Korea. Her choice is both personal and strategic: it supports Zhang's side, checks a competing European power, and preserves her freedom to build cross-region coalitions when formal regional loyalty no longer serves her guild. (Chapters 735–737)

She remains among the global elite, reaching Level 190 near the leaders and becoming the eighth player to reach Level 200. In the late Celestial-boss campaign she independently recognizes the need to follow the same quest lead as Zhang and the other major guild masters, joins their temporary coalition, and receives her scheduled turn in the Celestial loot order. The corpus does not identify the equipment she selects, so the fact of a high-tier pick is established while its exact type and properties remain unknown. (Chapters 791, 793, and 838–842)

Outside the game, Dusk supplies Zhang with enough money to complete his takeover of Hua Yi Trust Fund, treating the loan as a possible dowry while he insists on repaying it. After Zhong Xiu Hua's death creates a threat of retaliation, Zhang moves his household first to Luxembourg, where Dusk's royal position and castle security make them difficult to reach. He later relocates the family to Dubai despite her efforts to keep him in Luxembourg; Dusk remains in her own country as the castle's future ruler and protector rather than joining the Dubai household. (Chapters 850 and 856)

Appearance and personality

Dusk's game avatar is a tall, captivating female elf with a strongly curved figure, blonde hair, and tightly fitted leather armor; her expressive style includes smiles, winks, and deliberately seductive movement. Her Blood Angel Transformation surrounds her with a blood-red radiance and produces two ghostlike wings about three meters long that can pass through walls. In person she is a fair-skinned Western woman with long legs, balanced facial features, and a naturally aristocratic bearing, first revealed in a short black dress at her family's castle. (Chapters 440, 505, 544–545, and 630)

She is proud, persistent, theatrical, and tactically patient. Defeat makes her vindictive enough to hunt Zhang across maps and manipulate a championship venue, yet she does not simply charge whenever angry: she preserves distance against Charge, enters stealth, retreats when her advantage ends, waits before taking a Territory Order, and negotiates alliances that can win what direct force cannot. Her flirtation is sometimes a combat feint and later an earnest personal fixation, while her wealth and status support both extravagant retaliation and consequential assistance. (Chapters 443, 505–506, 545–546, 630–632, 719–722, and 850–856)

Abilities and gameplay

Thief fundamentals and dueling

Dusk fights with paired one-handed blades and the Bandit / Thief class's stamina-based control sequence. From stealth she uses Ambush to open, Kidney Shot to continue disabling a target, and a Stamina Potion to restore the resource needed for another chain. Vanish can disengage her or provide a moment of invulnerability against an incoming projectile, while ordinary stealth supports reconnaissance, pursuit, and delayed re-engagement. These tools are strongest when she chooses the timing; area attacks, expert detection, or an opponent who keeps her in combat can reveal her before the opening lands. (Chapters 439–443, 505–506, and 552)

Her defensive toolkit includes Blur, which grants 50% evasion, and Shadow Cloak, which gives a 90% chance to resist magic. Their activation creates an emergency window the narration describes as roughly ten seconds of semi-invulnerability; the corpus does not identify any additional skill behind that description. Dusk combines these effects with excellent footwork, positioning outside Charge range, and practiced ground movement. She is still constrained by the Thief class's low durability and one-handed weapon damage against heavy defense, while early aerial combat is less developed than her movement on the ground. (Chapters 440–443, 506, and 552)

Blood Angel Inheritance

Dusk acquires the Class A Blood Angel Inheritance after the Europe Region's mass boss campaign. Blood Angel Transformation multiplies maximum HP by thirty, greatly increases attack and movement, lasts two hours, and creates intangible red wings that permit unrestricted flight without consuming inheritance energy. At Level 102 the demonstrated form has 1,878,920 HP and enough combined dual-weapon output to overwhelm untransformed Zhang, but it remains below the scale of his Class S God of War form and cannot equip a shield because of her base class. (Chapters 544–546)

Blood Angel's Requiem instantly restores all HP, then reduces both attack and maximum HP by 30% for two minutes. This makes it a powerful answer to sudden execution effects but leaves a defined vulnerability after recovery. The transformation's large health pool, speed, and flight make Dusk a serious solo hunter; its finite duration requires careful timing, and losing access to the form causes her to retreat rather than continue an unfavorable frontal fight. (Chapters 545–546 and 551–552)

The inheritance also supplies a power-up usable in professional competition, where Dusk relies on it to win important one-on-one points and help Hell Battle Team reach a team battle; the exact tournament-legal inheritance effect is not named. Her healer-type elven battle companion restores health during extended fights and works well with the inheritance's enlarged pool, but contributes little direct damage. The corpus does not name Dusk's inheritance energy skills beyond Blood Angel's Requiem, nor does it identify the random skill she receives for reaching Level 200 in eighth place. (Chapters 552, 632, and 793)

Tracking, mounts, and command resources

Dusk repeatedly finds Zhang at precise locations despite lacking him as a friend or party member. Chapter 545 reveals a transparent crystal ball that projects a holographic map with her position and the moving target's position; Chapter 546 shows that it cannot be activated continuously. She is absent from Baroque Island, but her tracking lets Hell's Family locate it by following Zhang there; the corpus never explains how she acquired the crystal. (Chapters 506, 545–546, and 577)

She uses a White Lion as an early ground mount and later a large sky-blue bird as a flying mount, riding well enough to reverse altitude and attempt evasive maneuvers during pursuit. The flying bird disappears shortly after she dismounts because she lacks Beast Taming, and it cannot replace Blood Angel flight once combat circumstances prevent safe mounting. As guild master, she complements mobility with Hell's Family personnel, regional influence, and the patience to let competing forces reduce one another before committing. (Chapters 440, 506, and 719–722)

Real-world status and limits

As Luxembourg's princess and future Grand Duchess, Dusk commands wealth, staff, bodyguards, a guarded castle, and enough political or social influence to help move an international championship and later shelter Zhang's household. She handles a long whip well enough to strike a restrained captive, but that episode does not establish formal martial training or supernatural real-world ability. Her power outside the game is chiefly institutional: money, royal connections, secure property, and the willingness to use them. (Chapters 630–631, 850, and 856)

Relationships

  • Zhang Yang: Dusk first treats Zhang as the rival who humiliates her at the Realm of Sacred Glory, then spends several arcs trying to defeat him. Their antagonism develops into attraction and an unusual arrangement negotiated with Sun Xin Yu and Han Ying Xue. She later fights beside him, lends him takeover capital, and protects his family in Luxembourg, although he ultimately moves the household away from her castle. (Chapters 439–443, 505–552, 630–632, 719–735, and 850–856)
  • Sun Xin Yu and Han Ying Xue: The two women first block Dusk's advances, then negotiate limits on her relationship with Zhang. In the game they help her secure Forrest Gump's Fortress, converting a personal accommodation into an effective territorial alliance. (Chapters 632 and 719–722)
  • Hourglass Figure: Hourglass is a competing elite guild master whose Forbidden Scrolls devastate the field during the territory conquest. Dusk waits out that expenditure and takes the final order with allied help, making Hourglass's preparation serve a rival's victory; both later cooperate in the Celestial-boss coalition. (Chapters 719–722 and 838–842)
  • God's Left Hand: Dusk rejects his claim to a unified European front after he allies with other regions against Zhang. Their dispute illustrates that European guild interests are divided and that Dusk will choose a China alliance when it better serves Hell's Family and her own commitments. (Chapters 735–737)
  • Captain America: Dusk kills the weakened Captain during the Realm of Sacred Glory free-for-all, but he still finishes above her on points. They later appear together among the major international guild masters cooperating against late-game bosses. (Chapters 443 and 838–842)

Items and resources

  • White Lion: Dusk's early ground mount, used to close on Xindalo in the Realm of Sacred Glory. (Chapter 440)
  • Sky-blue flying bird: A separate aerial mount capable of firing Frost Arrows. Dusk rides it skillfully, but without Beast Taming it vanishes shortly after she dismounts. (Chapter 506)
  • Dragon necklace: An unnamed necklace releases a fiery dragon for an approximately 80,000-damage unmitigated burst at its first demonstrated power level. Shield Wall reduces the hit substantially, and Zhang later recognizes the animation early enough to counter it. (Chapters 443 and 506)
  • Tracking crystal: A transparent crystal ball projects a map with Dusk and her target marked as separate moving points. It has a reuse limitation, and neither its formal name nor its acquisition is supplied. (Chapters 545–546)
  • Potions: A Stamina Potion restores the resource for her Thief control chain, while a later healing potion restores 20,000 HP when standard Level 4 potions restore 10,000. The narration speculates about transmutation or a healing bonus but confirms neither explanation. (Chapters 443 and 506)
  • Long whip: Dusk keeps a real-world whip at the Luxembourg castle and uses it during her attempt to punish Zhang. It is not shown as part of her in-game inventory. (Chapter 630)
