Myung Yongha

Myung Yongha is a Korean world ranker whose nature magic, field experience, and instinct for detecting demons support both the Grand Natural Society and the International Superhuman Association. Although his public strength makes him a national strategic asset, his most important early struggle is personal: finding a treatment for his wife Jung Hawon's ancient-monster infection. Her recovery turns Yu Jitae from a suspicious stranger into his benefactor and draws the Myung family into the Yu household's circle. (Chapters 45–46, 65, 99–100, 118–119)

Biography

His wife's treatment and a new benefactor

Myung meets Yu Jitae while searching the Lake of Life for Abadone mushrooms that might help his pregnant wife, Jung Hawon. After learning that Yu's party ate them, he accepts a black medicinal root in compensation and later combines it with a blue medicinal marble supplied by BM. His analytical skill cannot fully identify either unfamiliar ingredient, but his desperation outweighs the uncertainty: Hawon has endured an incurable ancient-monster virus for a decade, and even the world's strongest druid has been unable to ease her recurring agony. He melts both ingredients together and gives her the resulting soup, praying for a miracle he cannot produce through rank or wealth alone. (Chapters 45–46)

Hawon's viral concentration falls, her appetite and health return, and she safely has a second son. Myung consequently thanks Yu as a benefactor and invites him to meet the Grand Natural Society, but his warmth briefly gives way to a soldier's caution when Yu voices dislike for the group. Myung ultimately separates personal gratitude from organizational suspicion: he gives Yu his private number, later defends the Yu household before Lair's administrators, and warns Yu that Assistant Principal Ma Namjoon carries the odour of a demon. A shared family trip then turns the alliance into a genuine household friendship, bringing Hawon, Myung Jun-il, and the Yu children together away from their institutional duties. Association service through the Long Night

As the Association mobilizes against Quasar and the powers supporting it, Myung joins its senior conferences alongside the transcendents, Grand Natural Society members, strategists, and the advisers known as Season and One. He is the first ranker present to grasp Season's warning that the Association's enemy is the flow of the entire world, showing that his value is not confined to physical power. He later undertakes field work with Minamoto Ai against the disaster-ranked demon Ichimaru, although the operation itself occurs away from the main scene. (Chapters 258–259, 287)

Myung remains loyal when the Association's internal order begins to fracture. He steps in front of senior administrator Carmaella and gives Rank 26 Redwood Brzenk a final warning rather than letting the Brzenk Family intimidate her. During the Long Night, he joins the grand mages maintaining a 300-kilometre barrier and then fights beside BM, Minamoto, Christoph, and other soldiers against an adult black dragon. The dragon falls through collective effort rather than a solitary victory, demonstrating both the scale of his contribution and the limits that still require him to fight as part of humanity's assembled force. Appearance and personality

Myung is exceptionally tall and massive, standing at least a head above the nearly 190-centimetre Yu Jitae, with shoulders and a build compared to an ogre. His large face, hands, and booming laugh reinforce that imposing silhouette. Because he is a world-famous strategic asset, he sometimes wears a fake human-faced mask in public; on his family trip, he instead appears openly in fancy sunglasses. (Chapters 45, 98, 118, 145)

Despite that scale and status, Myung is friendly, talkative, and openly fond of children. His hearty laughter and deliberately positive remarks often soften tense gatherings, while his attentiveness to Jun-il's unspoken preferences and his affection for Hawon show a perceptive husband and father. The warmth is not carelessness: possible demons and threats to his organizations bring out a grave, sharp-eyed soldier willing to challenge officials or rankers directly. Powers and abilities

Nature-type druid body

As the Druid of Regeneration, Myung is a rare nature-type superhuman. Parts of his body can transform into vegetation: vines grow from his skin to wrap and store the black root, his fingertips become white tree roots for analysis, and his wrist divides into branches when he retrieves a regulation book. These transformations connect to a nature-based alternate storage within his skin. Public reports compare his control of nature to a dragon's, but no direct comparison proves that he possesses a dragon's full natural authority. (Chapters 45–46, 118)

Root of Discernment

Root of Discernment (A) changes Myung's fingertips into white roots and analyzes the mana and effects of pharmaceutical plants. It lets him determine that Yu's black root and BM's blue marble are beneficial enough to use in Hawon's treatment. The skill is knowledge-dependent rather than infallible: because he has never encountered either ingredient, he cannot identify them completely or determine which one caused Hawon's improvement. Natural and demonic perception

The power called Mount Tai is embedded in Myung's body and conveys the warnings of nature, while an underworld-aligned perception helps him distinguish evil. It initially warns him against Yu Jitae, yet the presence of Bom causes nature's attitude to change and complicates his judgment. He later recognizes a dirty, demonic odour around Ma Namjoon and offers to eliminate him, but admits that this instinct has failed once, making it a warning sense rather than conclusive proof. Magic and large-scale combat

Myung can construct magic circles to melt and combine medicinal ingredients, use a fire spell to ignite a large campfire, and participate in grand-mage formations. During the Long Night, he helps 170 grand mages sustain a transparent barrier roughly 300 kilometres across, then joins multiple elite rankers attacking an adult black dragon. These applications show breadth across medicine, utility, containment, and direct battle, but his largest achievements rely on formations and coordinated allies rather than demonstrated solo control over the same scale. • Jung Hawon: Myung's wife is a normal human who contracts an ancient-monster virus after the Great War. Her suffering exposes how helpless his rank and druid abilities can leave him, while his worldwide search for treatment and emotional response to her improvement define his strongest personal motivation. Their affectionate partnership continues after her recovery, and they raise two sons together. (Chapters 45–46, 65, 98–100, 142, 145–150)
• Myung Jun-il and Junhyuk: Myung is an attentive father who understands Jun-il's quiet requests and wants both sons to share the family life his military obligations can interrupt. Medicinal root and blue marble

Yu Jitae gives Myung a black thousand-year-old root after taking the Abadone mushrooms Myung had cultivated, while BM separately gives him a blue medicinal marble for Hawon. Myung stores, analyzes, melts, and combines the two into a soup. Hawon's condition improves afterward, but Myung cannot isolate which ingredient was responsible and treats both donors with gratitude. Red Shoes wine

For a friendly survival contest at Peace City, Myung stakes a bottle of Red Shoes, a precious fermented mandrake wine whose dangerous scream component has been removed. Although the contest ends in a tie, he gives the bottle to Yu Jitae anyway; Yu responds with his own rare snake wine, making the exchange a small sign of the two households' growing friendship.
