Li Shiqi

Li Shiqi is the female Dao Child of the Blood Demon Sect, initially mistaken for an extraordinarily beautiful young man. Her path moves from the demonic lotus arts of her adoptive sect to a self-created Blood Orchid divine ability that wins immediate recognition from the Church of the Blood Orchid.

Biography

Adopted daughter of the Blood Demon Sect

Li Shiqi loses her parents while still an infant and is adopted with a strange physical deformity that threatens her ability to live normally. Her master spends years treating and raising her. When he later searches for clues to her birthplace, she asks him to stop: in this life he is already her master, and in a future life she hopes he can be her father. Her loyalty to the Blood Demon Sect is therefore rooted in rescue and family, not merely institutional ambition. (Revealed in Chapter 596)

She first appears publicly as a refined white-robed youth accompanying Sang Luo's older brother to the Xiao Clan. Seeing Meng Hao complete a Perfect mid-Foundation Establishment breakthrough, she recognizes a worthy opponent and stops her companion from rushing into a fight he cannot win. Li Shiqi then challenges Meng Hao herself with the Seven Demonic Lotus Steps, warning him about the art before beginning rather than relying upon surprise. (Chapters 171–174)

The steps build enough momentum to bewilder and suppress Foundation Establishment experts, but Meng Hao's Eighth Demon Sealing Hex interrupts the accumulating state. Li Shiqi accepts the unprecedented defeat, identifies herself, and respectfully negotiates Sang Luo's release. Ultimate Vexation then exposes her sex in deliberately humiliating fashion, ending the meeting with her anger directed more toward the talking hat than the opponent who beat her fairly. Southern Domain Chosen

At the Song Clan gathering, Li Shiqi openly supports Meng Hao when Wang Tengfei and Li Daoyi threaten him, partly for Wang Youcai's sake and partly from respect earned in their duel. She follows Meng Hao's World Tree ascent and his creation of a tenth path with growing interest, ending the trial with a desire for a rematch rather than resentment over the first result. She later fights Shan Ling at the ancient Dao Geyser; neither wins because both enter enlightenment during the exchange. Li Shiqi attends Pill Demon's promotion trial as the Blood Demon Sect's junior representative and watches Fang Mu's impossible alchemy. At the Rebirth Cave she recognizes Meng Hao's identity and understands that the awakened Blood Mastiff is his Blood Divinity. These scenes build her judgment through observation even when she is not the central combatant. (Chapters 264–313)

Demon Immortal Plane and Blood Demon war

Li Shiqi enters the Primordial Demon Immortal Plane with the South Heaven cultivators. Its illusions draw out her memories of adoption and her father-like master, exposing the emotional foundation beneath her cool presentation. A Greater Demon's later illusion begins changing trapped cultivators into Demons; Meng Hao's attack briefly restores their clarity before the transformation completes. (Chapters 594–617)

After returning, she tells only Patriarch Blood Demon what happened in the ancient sect. When Meng Hao arrives as Blood Prince, Li Shiqi's prior knowledge makes her one of the few disciples able to judge him from direct experience. She watches his assertion of authority, then joins the tens of thousands who follow him into battle once the sect accepts him. (Chapters 697 and 702–711)

Li Shiqi also carries a sect-scale responsibility. Floating at the center of one hundred thousand disciples, she raises a bottle containing golden blood. The drop absorbs the blood deliberately released by the entire force, turns red, and spreads into a shield sealing the Southern Domain. During the later war she fights beside Chen Fan, anxiously watches Meng Hao hold a breach alone, and reacts with horror when the Blood Demon Grand Magic consumes lives too indiscriminately. Loyalty does not make her indifferent to the human cost of her sect's strongest methods. (Chapters 697, 705, 710, 738 and 783)

Enlightenment of the Blood Orchid

On the Ancient Road of the Nascent Soul, Li Shiqi deliberately chooses a blood-red orchid ruin rather than chasing every available fortune. She explains that no one can take all good fortune; finding the one suited to her is enough. She meditates until her white clothing turns blood-red and the ancient flower withers, transferring its enlightenment into her cultivation and bringing her immeasurably close to Spirit Severing. (Chapters 851–852)

Li Shiqi then points to the sky, turns the heavens blood-red, and manifests a blooming Blood Orchid. Fourteen stone steles descend in recognition of the divine ability she has created from that insight. A Church of the Blood Orchid patriarch immediately offers her membership and a place in the competition to become Holy Daughter, waiving the normal probation because her self-created art matches the Church's founding inheritance. She accepts and later formally joins the Church. (Chapters 852 and 882)

Appearance and personality

Li Shiqi is otherworldly beautiful, white-robed, refined, and easily mistaken for a young man. Her beauty combines with a demonic aura and a cultivated bearing; after Blood Orchid enlightenment, her garments become the same deep red as the flower. The corpus does not define the childhood deformity her master treated, so it should not be converted into a specific physical diagnosis.

She is competitive, observant, loyal, and disciplined enough to recognize a lost contest. Her choice of one suitable Ancient Road inheritance captures her temperament: she seeks depth and compatibility rather than grabbing every visible reward. She can be decisive in battle while retaining moral discomfort when sect magic crosses into uncontrolled slaughter.

Abilities and cultivation

Seven Demonic Lotus Steps

Each step lands as if upon the opponent's heart and adds power, will, and overlapping momentum to the next. A pleasant fragrance spreads through the area, bewildering the target until identity and perception may be lost; by the third step, time and the surrounding world seem to be replaced. The method is reputedly “unbreakable” once its momentum develops, but Meng Hao's Eighth Hex interrupts the magical state and disperses all accumulated force. Its limit is therefore structural disruption before all seven steps are completed. (Chapters 174–175)

Great-circle Foundation Establishment and later progression

Li Shiqi begins at the completed circle of late Foundation Establishment and can contest the leading Dao Children of the Southern Domain. She advances through the Dao Geyser, Demon Immortal Plane, and sect war, reaching the Ancient Road as a Nascent Soul cultivator. Blood Orchid enlightenment then pushes her extremely close to Spirit Severing, but the corpus does not confirm the exact chapter of a completed breakthrough. (Chapters 174–264 and 844–852)

Southern Domain blood shield

An austere bottle releases one drop of golden blood that absorbs the fresh blood offered by one hundred thousand Blood Demon disciples. Once saturated, the drop turns bright red and expands into a shield covering and sealing the entire Southern Domain. Li Shiqi acts as the ritual focus and coordinator, but the power depends upon the bottle, prepared golden blood, and mass contribution; it is not an effect she can reproduce alone. (Chapter 697)

Blood Orchid enlightenment and divine ability

Li Shiqi absorbs insight from an ancient Blood Orchid until the original flower wilts. Her created divine ability turns the sky blood-red and manifests an enormous blooming orchid. In related Blood Orchid combat, the flower can grow a thick trunk, launch branches, and release a concentrated blood drop when its petals open. The inheritance is newly created and recognized in her final arc, so the text does not establish every later limit or a completed Holy Daughter tenure. (Chapters 851–852 and 868)

Battle judgment and resistance

She can identify when an ally is outmatched, break off a failed confrontation, and preserve secret information after leaving the Demon Immortal Plane. These are trained judgment and will rather than supernatural techniques, but they repeatedly prevent pride from turning dangerous situations into needless deaths.

Relationships

• Meng Hao: Respected rival whose Eighth Hex breaks her signature steps. She later supports him politically, follows him in war, and measures new cultivation against his example.
• Blood Demon Lord: Sect patriarch who calls her “Yu'er.” She treats him as the master who saved and raised her and privately reports the Demon Immortal Plane events to him.
• Wang Youcai: Fellow Blood Demon disciple. His public support for Meng Hao helps prompt Li Shiqi to commit the sect's backing at the Song gathering.
• Shan Ling: Opponent at the Dao Geyser; their draw gives both women enlightenment.
