Xue Aoying
Xue Aoying, the Tiger King, is Xue Aotian's younger brother, Tian'er's uncle, and leader of the WanShou Empire's Tiger Tribe. A steady observer amid the rivalry between Tiger and Lion factions, he judges Zhou Weiqing with increasing approval and later fights for Heavenly Snow Mountain in the Grand Tournament of Saint Lands.
Biography
Judging the challenge for Tian'er
When Long Shiya brings Zhou to stop Tian'er's wedding, Xue Aoying recognizes that the normally solitary Heavenly Emperor would not provoke Heavenly Snow Mountain without cause and refuses to join the Lion faction's immediate hostility. His neutrality also reflects tribal pressure: Tian'er's marriage to Gu Yingbing would make a Lion the likely next Mountain Lord and weaken the Tiger Tribe. Appointed alongside his brother to judge Zhou's trials, Xue Aoying closely watches the challenger withstand Heavenly Emperor beasts and reveal the Dark Demon God Tiger bloodline. Surprise becomes open admiration; he even offers Long Shiya any condition to take Zhou as a disciple and promises to support the marriage. He later intervenes to keep Long Shiya from killing Gu Site, helps the injured Lion King and prince leave, and directs the assembled tribe leaders away after the wedding is canceled. (Chapters 172–182)
Surviving the Grand Tournament and preserving the Saint Land
Years later, Xue Aoying receives rival Saint Lands at Heavenly Snow Mountain and serves as its first tournament representative. He tries to exploit the exhaustion of a Blood Red Hell Heavenly Emperor who has already fought Yun Ruoyun, but discovers that Destruction Energy grows by ruining and absorbing surrounding attributes. His Divine power is overwhelmed and his legendary armor corroded; at the last instant, an unexplained burst of golden light kills his opponent while the backlash leaves Xue Aoying unconscious and heavily injured. He recovers in time to ride a Heavenly Emperor guardian during the larger battle. After Heavenly Snow Mountain is destroyed, Xue Aotian sends him and Gu Yingbing with a small elite force to aid ZhongTian against Dandun, while Shangguan Tianyue escorts them—preserving experienced leaders who can continue their Saint Land's legacy. (Chapters 802–832)
Appearance and personality
Xue Aoying is over ninety but looks like a handsome man in his forties. He has short upright white hair, a square, well-defined face, broad shoulders, and a height of roughly two meters. Simple white robes patterned with gold emphasize a noble, tower-like bearing rather than ornament. (Chapter 172)
He is steady, sociable, politically observant, and less impulsive than the Lion King. He can joke with Long Shiya while respecting the danger he represents, withhold action until motives become clear, and separate dislike of a rival from the duty to save him. His delight at Lion setbacks exposes his Tiger loyalties, but his later defense of Gu Site and service in the final coalition show that factional competition has limits. (Chapters 172–182 and 802–832)
Abilities and cultivation
Xue Aoying is a Mid Level Heavenly Emperor of the Divine Heavenly Spirit Tiger bloodline. The bloodline carries the Divine Attribute and creates a sympathetic response to Zhou's Dark Demon God Tiger and later Saint Energy. His senses can identify Zhou's approximate six-Jeweled level without intrusive probing, and he can monitor distant combat closely enough to serve as a judge. He remains clearly below Xue Aotian and Long Shiya in direct power. (Chapters 172–180)
In battle he releases white light threaded with black, takes on the momentum of a giant tiger, and projects golden Divine light. His snowy white, blue-striped legendary armor includes enlarged tiger-palm weapons whose edges visibly tear the air. The set prevents Destruction Energy from immediately inflicting fatal bodily harm, but it cannot stop sustained corrosion when that superior attribute consumes his Divine light and strengthens itself from the destroyed energy. His final golden counterstrike penetrates the enemy and kills him, yet the source of that sudden reversal is not identified in the text, and its backlash leaves Xue Aoying unable to continue. (Chapters 807–808)
Each senior Heavenly Snow Mountain fighter also has a Heavenly Emperor guardian mount. When Xue Aoying merges his strength with his guardian, their combined power approaches the Heavenly God Tier, though coordinated Blood Red Hell formations can still drive them backward. (Chapters 820 and 823)
Relationships
- Xue Aotian: Xue Aotian is Xue Aoying's elder brother, former protector, and Saint Land leader. Xue Aoying understands his habits closely, follows his judgments, and is saved by him after the tournament battle.
- Tian'er: Tian'er is Xue Aoying's niece, whom he watched grow up. His affection and Tiger Tribe interests make him receptive to the challenger she actually chose.
- Zhou Weiqing: Xue Aoying begins as a curious evaluator and becomes an admirer after seeing Zhou's endurance and tiger bloodline. He does not personally decide the marriage, but offers active support.
- Long Shiya: Familiarity with Long Shiya's strength keeps Xue Aoying from treating him as a blustering intruder. Their cordial rivalry ends when duty forces Xue Aoying to divert one potentially lethal blow from Gu Site.
- Gu Site: Tiger-Lion rivalry makes Xue Aoying willing to watch Gu Site lose face, but he will not allow the WanShou Emperor to be killed. He later helps the injured Lion King withdraw.
- Gu Yingbing: Although Gu Yingbing's succession threatens Tiger influence, Xue Aoying respects his conduct, supports him after his loss, and later serves beside him in the coalition and frontier mission.
Items
- Unnamed legendary armor set: Snowy white armor marked with blue streaks and tiger heads on both shoulders covers Xue Aoying's body; oversized tiger-palm weapons extend from his hands. It protects him from immediate destruction but can be corroded and overwhelmed by sufficiently pure Destruction Energy. (Chapters 807–808)
