Little Four
Little Four is an agile member of the Fei Li Battle Team whose early contempt for Zhou Weiqing turns into loyalty through a lost wager, shared danger, and Zhou’s refusal to enforce a humiliating debt. His paired Consolidated Wings and Spatial Attribute make him a difficult aerial target and a natural scout, while his tournament victory over Han Bing demonstrates both the ingenuity and the dangerous consequences of his evasive style.
Biography
A lost wager becomes a reason to stay
Little Four first meets Zhou as a short, skinny four-Jeweled fighter with a sharp gaze and little respect for the two substitutes joining the Fei Li Battle Team. Confident that his speed and paired wings can evade three attacks, he accepts a wager that would make the loser a lifetime follower. Zhou counters flight and Blink with wide-area control and Heavenly Lightning Shock, forcing Little Four’s wings and shield to disappear and defeating him before he can escape. Instead of claiming the oath, Zhou releases both Little Four and Drunken Bao, arguing that unwilling followers would only damage the team. The defeat wounds Little Four’s pride, but the mercy gives him a personal debt that begins to replace hostility with respect. (Chapters 64–65)
That debt matters when the team is attacked while protecting an incapacitated Zhou and Fat Cat. After days of fighting and with withdrawal still possible, Little Four refuses to abandon Zhou, explicitly grounding his choice in the favor he owes. He then joins the effort against Little Witch, diving through the battle with Spatial Energy and Drunken Bao’s Light support. Her strange mist can ignore ordinary physical attacks, and she strips away the support before injuring him badly enough that his wings vanish. Little Four’s decision does not win the encounter, but it converts a private wager into shared risk and helps establish the solidarity that carries the damaged team into the tournament. (Chapters 68–70)
Turning evasion into a lethal tournament victory
Against the six-Jeweled Han Bing, Little Four accepts a matchup in which his purpose is largely tactical: force the stronger opponent to expend power and create room for the remaining Fei Li fighters. He uses the wings’ irregular changes of direction, a blade, and persistent movement to survive a barrage of ice cones, spending more than half his Heavenly Energy and much of his concentration in the process. When Han Bing activates Frozen Sacrifice, Little Four bursts a waterskin and saturates the water with Spatial Energy. The resulting ice block forms around an isolated pocket rather than freezing him solid, while his folded wings provide additional protection. (Chapter 85)
Just before the block strikes the arena, Little Four uses the Blink he has deliberately preserved and appears behind Han Bing with a short knife. He intends to land a last blow and surrender, but exhaustion leaves him unable to speak and Han Bing has dropped his defenses; the cut severs Han Bing’s throat. The victory gives Fei Li a crucial point but turns the remaining contest into a potential feud with Blood Red Hell. Little Four apologizes to his companions because he understands the political and mortal danger he has created, while Lin TianAo insists that he acted in self-defense. The episode shows the full logic of Little Four’s style: careful reserve and spatial misdirection can reverse an apparently hopeless position, but the method depends on a narrow opening and can produce consequences he never intended. (Chapter 86)
The team ultimately wins the match through Zhou’s reading of the tournament rules, and Little Four continues into the Lustre Spatial Realm as a scout. There he climbs ahead of the group and becomes the first member expelled by a Lustre Gem when a great dragon drives him away; the later discovery that the dragon was guarding Duo Si during a dangerous labor reframes the apparent attack as a protective response rather than a failure of courage. After the expedition, Little Four and Drunken Bao remember the old follower wager when Lin TianAo offers Zhou a lifetime oath. Ashamed that they had once tried to profit from the same terms, both voluntarily offer their service. Zhou again refuses the seals and calls them brothers, completing Little Four’s movement from mocking rival to willing comrade. (Chapters 88, 96, 99, 104, 109)
A trusted place in the Peerless Battalion
Little Four follows Zhou toward the occupied Heavenly Bow Empire and continues to work in the role best suited to him, scouting and relaying information through dangerous terrain. Later, he waits at Tianbei City for Zhou’s return and is left there with Drunken Bao to oversee the movement of custom armor. When Lin TianAo departs, the two take over the equipment and training work they had already been helping him perform. This rear-line responsibility is quieter than his tournament fights but marks a consequential change in trust: the former skeptic is now entrusted with the systems that keep the Peerless Battalion equipped and prepared. He is last explicitly shown alive in that operational role. (Chapters 116, 132, 136, 187)
Appearance and personality
Little Four is unusually short and thin, standing at roughly one and a half meters. His small frame suits his speed-oriented fighting style, while his venomous, snake-like gaze gives his otherwise casual appearance a harsher edge. In flight, the paired golden wings make him far more conspicuous, though their value lies in mobility rather than physical size or armor. (Chapters 64–65)
At first he is proud, mocking, and too certain that new teammates cannot match him. He accepts the wager because he expects an easy victory, then has enough sense of honor to recognize the favor when Zhou refuses to enforce it. His later actions show a shrewder and more loyal side: he devises an escape inside Han Bing’s ice, remains conscious of the political damage caused by the accidental kill, and offers service voluntarily once he believes Zhou deserves it. His humor and sharp tongue remain, but rivalry no longer outweighs responsibility to the team. (Chapters 64–70, 85–86, 109)
Abilities and cultivation
Four-Jeweled cultivation and Spatial control
At his introduction, Little Four is a four-Jeweled Lower Level Zun. His Dragonstone Jade Physical Jewels enhance speed, while his Elemental Jewels hold the Spatial Attribute. His clearest Stored Skill is Blink, which moves him roughly ten yards at this level and lets him bypass an obstacle or exposed defense rather than merely crossing the intervening ground. He also channels Spatial Energy through attacks and objects, as when he makes a physical strike effective against Little Witch’s mist and creates an isolated pocket within Han Bing’s ice. (Chapters 64–65, 69, 85–86)
The supplied chapters do not document a later cultivation rank or name every Spatial attack he possesses. His strongest results therefore come from application rather than a stated increase in raw power: he saves Blink until the decisive instant, combines Spatial Energy with available water, and attacks an unguarded point. Blink’s range is limited, and neither it nor his Spatial Attribute protects him from broad control effects, depleted reserves, or an opponent who maintains a simple defense. (Chapters 65, 85–86)
Paired Consolidated Wings
Little Four’s rare paired Consolidated Wings are two pieces of equipment that unfold as golden wings when he infuses them with Heavenly Energy. They grant temporary flight, sharp aerial acceleration, and irregular changes of direction. The movement is not Wind Attribute speed: it is slower than the highest straight-line Wind techniques but less predictable, making him difficult to target and well suited to scouting or harassment. He can also fold the wings around himself for some physical protection. (Chapters 65, 85)
The wings demand both energy and practiced control. They disappear if his equipment is forcibly deactivated, and extended evasive flight consumes substantial Heavenly Energy and concentration. Damage can also end their use, as happens after Little Witch knocks him away. Wide-area control counters the core advantage of avoiding a single attack, while the Frozen Sacrifice encounter shows that the wings alone are not insulation; Little Four survives only by combining them with Spatially treated water and a precisely timed Blink. (Chapters 65, 69, 85–86)
Scouting and opportunistic combat
Little Four commonly moves ahead of the group through trees or by air, observes danger, and relays information. In formation he functions as a scout and supporting attacker rather than a front-line power fighter. His small Consolidated shield, short blade, and wings help him deflect, reposition, or exploit an exposed target, but none is shown overpowering a stronger opponent directly. His victory over Han Bing depends on Han Bing dropping his defense, and his attacks against Little Witch fail once her superior power breaks the team’s support. (Chapters 65–66, 69, 85–86, 96, 116)
Relationships
- Zhou Weiqing: Little Four begins by ridiculing Zhou and wagering his freedom against him. Zhou’s refusal to claim the debt, their shared danger, and the tournament victory gradually turn that humiliation into loyalty; Little Four later offers the lifetime oath voluntarily and accepts Zhou’s answer that they are brothers. (Chapters 64–70, 86–109)
- Lin TianAo: Little Four respects Lin’s judgment even before making the wager and fights under his protective leadership in the tournament. He later helps with Lin’s equipment and training duties and takes over that work when Lin leaves. (Chapters 64, 68, 86, 187)
- Drunken Bao: His closest recurring partner in the team. They enter the original wager together, support one another in combat, jointly offer themselves as followers, and later share responsibility for armor, equipment, and training. (Chapters 64–69, 109, 136, 187)
- Little Witch: Little Four attacks her while the exhausted Fei Li team protects Zhou. His Spatial Energy can threaten her mist where ordinary physical force cannot, but she removes Drunken Bao’s enhancement and injures him severely. (Chapter 69)
- Duo Si: Little Four never develops a close personal bond with the dragon, but his abrupt expulsion from the Lustre Spatial Realm is later explained by the male dragon’s need to protect Duo Si during a difficult birth. (Chapters 99, 104)
Items
- Paired Consolidated Wings: Little Four’s defining equipment, formed from two Consolidated pieces and sustained with Heavenly Energy. They enable flight, evasive movement, scouting, and limited protection when folded around him. (Chapters 65, 85–86)
- Small shield and blades: He manifests a small Consolidated shield during his wager with Zhou and uses bladed weapons in aerial combat. A short knife delivers the unintended killing blow to Han Bing, but the supplied chapters do not give these weapons individual names. (Chapters 65, 69, 85–86)
