Duo Si — Heavenly Jewel Change

Duo Si is a Dragon Emperor-bloodline dragon, Hui Yao's mate, and the mother whose determination to protect her family drives the later crises surrounding the Lustre Spatial Realm. Grief repeatedly exposes her to manipulation, but the same devotion also makes her endure extreme exhaustion, join the defense of the Netherworld seal, and preserve the future of the Dragon Tribe.

Biography

Saving Hui Yao after losing their children

Duo Si identifies herself after Zhou Weiqing, Tian'er, and the Shangguan sisters find her beside Hui Yao's murdered body. Attackers empowered by a spatial rift have killed her husband and abducted their twin children; Hui Yao drew the remaining Destruction Energy out of her before dying, leaving her alive but unable to protect them. Her first response is to attack the Lustre Spatial Realm itself so she can escape and pursue the kidnappers, even though breaking the realm would endanger Heavenly Jewel Island. The possibility of resurrecting Hui Yao persuades her to pause and cooperate instead. (Chapters 229–230)

She wraps her wings around Hui Yao, infuses Fire-Attribute Heavenly Energy into his corpse, and confines the Destruction Energy so Zhou can Devour it thread by thread. The process forces her to sustain control over power she cannot expel herself. Even after becoming severely exhausted, she persists because stopping would reduce her husband's chance of revival. Duo Si is an enormous female dragon with massive wings, claws, heavy scales, and eyes large enough for her tears to fall like streams.
