Zhu Chen

Zhu Chen is a Zhu Clan negotiator sent to bring Kaihuang’s Heaven under aristocratic control. He combines persuasion, status pressure, and service to Zhu Xianyao, but Su Chen’s counterplot leads him into an Immortal Temple ambush where he dies protecting the clan heir. (Chapters 231–250)

Biography

The attempt to contain Kaihuang’s Heaven

Zhu Chen approaches Su Chen after the public release of Kaihuang’s Heaven. He argues that distributing a bloodline-free cultivation method will eventually provoke the Beast Race, while restricting it through a Bloodline Nobility Clan would convert the technique into lasting political power. His offer includes marriage into the Zhu Clan, access to its bloodlines, and elder status. When Su Chen exposes the contradiction between Zhu Chen’s apocalyptic warning and his desire to monopolize the same method, the negotiation shifts from cordial persuasion toward pressure. (Chapters 231–234)

Zhu Chen returns with Zhu Xianyao and supports increasingly aggressive efforts to control Su Chen, but remains subordinate to her authority. When a staged theft makes the Zhu Clan believe Kaihuang’s Heaven has been stolen, Zhu Chen quickly obtains an Incense-Sniffing Mouse, gathers guards, and joins the pursuit. This efficiency advances Su Chen’s actual plan: the trail leads the Zhu group into a prepared conflict with the Immortal Temple. (Chapters 238 and 243–246)

Death in the ambush

Zhu Chen fights as one of Zhu Xianyao’s protectors despite the attackers’ superior numbers and realms. His mixed bloodline and Blood Boiling cultivation leave him weaker than the clan’s purer heirs; Zhong Shisi’s seven Blood Clones surround him and cut his body apart in Chapter 250. Zhu Xianyao later includes his death among the losses caused by Su Chen’s scheme, and Su Chen remembers Zhu Chen’s warning about Origin Beasts when humanity again confronts their overwhelming power. (Chapters 246, 249–250, 526, 561, and 628)

Appearance and personality

Zhu Chen is introduced as a young man who smiles politely while radiating a chilling intent. The corpus gives no further stable description of his clothing or build. (Chapter 231)

He is eloquent, status-conscious, and convinced that aristocratic control is both prudent and natural. He can maintain a transactional facade, but rejection makes him visibly cold and attempts to threaten Su Chen’s independence. His loyalty to the Zhu Clan is genuine: he handles its negotiations, obeys Zhu Xianyao’s orders, and remains in a losing battle to protect her. (Chapters 231–246 and 249–250)

Abilities and cultivation

Zhu Chen is a Blood Boiling Realm cultivator descended from Zhu Clan servants. He has a mixed version of the clan’s Demonic Emperor bloodline, making him weaker than pure-blooded members but still part of Zhu Xianyao’s armed escort. The corpus does not name a technique, weapon, or discrete combat feat attributable only to him. (Chapters 246 and 249)

His final battle demonstrates the limits of that cultivation. While focused on protecting Zhu Xianyao amid stronger opponents, he cannot withstand Zhong Shisi’s seven sword-wielding Blood Clones. No earlier realm, training history, or possible progression is stated before his death. (Chapters 249–250)

• Zhu Xianyao: Zhu Chen negotiates on the clan heir’s behalf, gathers forces at her order, and dies in the group protecting her. She later names his death as one of the burdens complicating her love for Su Chen. (Chapters 238–250 and 561)
