Zhu Yanniang
Zhu Yanniang is a Yang Opening Realm servant of the Zhu Clan assigned to help Zhu Xianyao recover Kaihuang's Heaven and control Su Chen. Her caution about the mission proves justified, but her duty to protect the clan's first heir prevents her from using her full strength in the battle that kills her.
Biography
Watching Su Chen
Zhu Yanniang secretly observes Gu Qingluo's emotional departure from Su Chen and identifies the relationship as possible leverage. Unlike the more dismissive planners, she senses that the operation may be more complicated than expected and treats the Hidden Dragon Institute with caution. She later waits outside with the Zhu party and an Incense-Sniffing Mouse while Zhu Xianyao brings Su into the pursuit of the allegedly stolen cultivation method. (Chapters 244–246)
Protection and death
When the Zhu party clashes with a much larger group of clan experts, Yanniang is its only Yang Opening member apart from the stronger protector who joins the fight. She and the other servants repeatedly rush to shield Zhu Xianyao, sacrificing their own tactical freedom. Hong Ming's blade grievously wounds her after Uncle Eleven chooses to trade her safety for an opportunity to kill Zhong Shisi. Still obeying his command, Yanniang uses her remaining strength to stop Jiang Tao; his palm enters her chest as she tears out his throat, and both die in the exchange. (Chapters 246 and 249–251)
Appearance and personality
Yanniang is described as a beautiful woman. The corpus does not specify her age, build, hair, eyes, or clothing. (Chapter 244)
She is cautious, observant, and dutiful. She notices dangers others dismiss, but does not abandon the mission or Zhu Xianyao when those dangers materialize. Her complex final look toward Uncle Eleven suggests awareness that he has sacrificed her, yet she still turns to meet Jiang Tao and protect the remaining party. (Chapters 244 and 250)
Abilities and cultivation
Yanniang is a Yang Opening Realm cultivator with a mixed Demonic Emperor bloodline. As a child of Zhu Clan servants rather than a pure-line heir, her bloodline is weaker than Zhu Xianyao's. The narration says she can compare with a Light Shaking cultivator, but is less suited to battle than Uncle Eleven and cannot display her full power while protecting the young miss. (Chapters 246 and 249–250)
The corpus does not name a signature Origin Skill for Yanniang. In her final exchange she fights at close range strongly enough to tear out Jiang Tao's throat despite a mortal chest wound. (Chapter 250)
Relationships
- Zhu Xianyao: The first heir Yanniang is assigned to protect, even at the cost of her own tactical freedom and life. (Chapters 246–250)
- Su Chen: The mission target whom Yanniang watches cautiously and whose scheme contributes to the factions' collision. (Chapters 244–250)
- Gu Qingluo: Su Chen's lover, whom Yanniang secretly observes and considers a potentially useful clue. (Chapter 244)
- Uncle Eleven: The senior protector who sacrifices Yanniang's safety to eliminate a more dangerous opponent, then orders her to block Jiang Tao. (Chapter 250)
Items
No finalized signature-item entry is assigned to Zhu Yanniang in the supplied catalog. She carries an Incense-Sniffing Mouse during the pursuit, but the creature is a Zhu Clan tracking resource rather than an established personal possession.
