Night God Sun — Divine Throne of Primordial Blood

Night God Sun is a young Harpy bishop of the Mother Goddess Sect, the son of the Night God Clan's head, and an exceptionally talented Supersonic Marksman. He enters Jade Clearmist's secret realm as a proud defender of Harpy and religious interests, where a Divine Feather lets him contend with stronger opponents before Inigo's betrayal leaves him exposed to Su Chen's allies.

Biography

A bishop outside the succession

Night God Sun is first identified from his bearing and political position. Although he is the Night God Clan head's son, he is not an heir because entering the Mother Goddess Sect requires giving up secular inheritance. His unusually young appointment as a bishop in the Thunderous Cry branch instead gives him an ecclesiastical path with substantial room for advancement. (Chapter 836)

He enters Jade Clearmist's secret realm with guards and senior religious protection. Night God Sun prefers majestic, head-on confrontation and can sense spatial-realm activity, placing him among the rival groups able to recognize that the apparent treasure hunt conceals a larger struggle. His attachment to Flaming Femme, also called Vermilion Blush in these scenes, makes him willing to consider withdrawing when her life is endangered. (Chapters 839 and 848)

Fighting for the secret realm

When Su Chen's disguise and manipulation unravel, Night God Sun attacks with supersonic arrows and becomes one of the strongest combatants in the chamber. He initially suppresses the inexperienced Ninth-Ring Arcana Master Inigo, reverses a Blazing Sun Peregrine's fire, and uses the Divine Feather only after recognizing that ordinary strength is insufficient. The resulting divine aura raises his attacks and perception but begins leaking irreversibly in the human world. (Chapters 849–851)

Night God Sun remains devout even when an unidentified Harpy clone claims that the realm's treasures are false. He shoots through the speaker's throat rather than tolerate opposition to the Mother Goddess, accepting an attack from Inigo to secure the kill. As the battle escalates, his feather enables stronger arrows, teleportation through a sealed passage, large-area divine light, and resistance against hostile divine techniques, but each exposure drains its stored power. Ambush, betrayal, and death

After Su Chen reveals his identity, Night God Sun unites otherwise competing forces by invoking their obligations to country and sect and giving up his claim to the treasure. His tactical decision makes Su Chen the common enemy, but Su Chen's hidden human reinforcements reverse the battle. Night God Sun's enhanced perception detects the ambush by Shi Kaihuang and Chu Yingwan earlier than Inigo does, yet he cannot evade both attacks; a poisoned spear pierces his divine defense. (Chapters 855–856)

He continues fighting and helps arrest the Wind Spirit Totem, then tries to combine two Divine Feathers for a decisive counterattack. Inigo chooses survival over loyalty, strikes Night God Sun from behind, and knocks the weakened feather from his wing. His aura collapses, Su Chen's thunder blasts him aside, and the human force kills every remaining opponent except Inigo. The next scene finds only corpses, and the narration later explicitly refers to Night God Sun's death. (Chapters 858–860 and 876)

Later chapters introduce Night God Verdant, a different member of the same clan who was not particularly close to the deceased bishop. A few sentences in Verdant's scenes substitute the name “Night God Sun” while continuing to identify the acting character as Verdant. That local name inconsistency does not indicate Night God Sun's survival or extend his biography beyond Jade Clearmist's secret realm. (Chapters 891 and 893)

Appearance and personality

Night God Sun is young and described as exceptionally graceful and noble, with a demeanor that marks him as someone of important birth. He has Harpy wings and conceals a Divine Feather among or within them. The corpus does not state his height, build, facial features, hair color, ordinary clothing, or exact age. He is proud, direct, devout, and courageous. His preference for imposing frontal battle matches his archery style, while his hostility toward anyone who opposes the Mother Goddess can override the practical value of interrogation. He is not merely reckless, however: he reads battle well, exploits openings against Inigo, recognizes Su Chen as the real strategic threat, and forges a coalition by surrendering his own share of the treasure. His concern for Flaming Femme reveals a more personal loyalty beneath his public severity. He is willing to abandon the expedition to protect her and the narration characterizes his feelings as romantic. Even so, institutional duty remains dominant in his last battle, where he continues fighting after poisoning and risks exhausting a holy relic for his sect and country. (Chapters 848 and 855–859)

Night God Sun is a bishop and explicitly an exceptionally talented Supersonic Marksman. His exact Arcana ring is never stated. An Eighth-Ring archbishop protects him, and his unaugmented power is below the Ninth-Ring Inigo's, but those comparisons do not establish a precise personal ring. (Chapters 836 and 849–851)

Supersonic archery and Falling Sun Bow

His arrows travel faster than sound, reaching a target before the report of the shot. One strike hits a Fourth-Ring projectile barrier that is normally able to stop roughly a hundred arrows, destroys it in a single impact, and retains enough momentum to drive Su Chen backward. Night God Sun can release three arrows in rapid succession or simultaneously pressure different openings. (Chapter 849)

The phrase “Falling Sun Bow” accompanies an arrow that forces the flames of a Blazing Sun Peregrine backward into the summoned creature. The corpus does not clarify whether this is the bow's name or a named archery technique. Night God Sun's follow-up volley initially suppresses Inigo because his combat instincts are sharper, though the raw difference in power eventually reasserts itself. (Chapter 850)

Divine Feather enhancement

The Divine Feather supplies divine aura and power while concealed in Night God Sun's wing. Once active, it sharpens his arrows, greatly raises their destructive force, and lets him keep fighting a Ninth-Ring opponent; at peak output, individual arrows are described as powerful enough to flatten a city. It also changes or resists hostile holy effects, supports a golden defensive layer, and increases perception enough to detect concealed attackers. (Chapters 849–851 and 856)

The feather permits a blink-like passage through a sealed entrance and can release broad golden light that attacks enemies across an area. Night God Sun later tries to bring two feathers together, implying a stronger combined release, but Inigo interrupts before the result is demonstrated. His direct style can gain early advantage against a more powerful but inexperienced enemy, yet he is vulnerable to deception, divided attention, and betrayal. Poison, continuous divine expenditure, and Inigo's rear attack leave him unable to resist the human reinforcements. (Chapters 839, 850–851, and 855–859)

Night God Sun dies in the secret realm and leaves no later cultivation progression. The Divine Feathers are taken as spoils, and no resurrection, surviving consciousness, or completed combined-feather technique is recorded. Later actions under a Night God name belong contextually to Night God Verdant. (Chapters 859–860, 876, 891, and 893)

Relationships

Flaming Femme: Night God Sun has romantic feelings for Flaming Femme and offers to withdraw from the secret realm when her safety is threatened. Her hidden cooperation with Su Chen places that affection inside a larger deception he never fully resolves. (Chapter 848)
Inigo: Night God Sun initially compensates for the Ninth-Ring sage's superior power with better battle instincts. They later cooperate against Su Chen, but Inigo betrays him, knocks away his Divine Feather, and becomes the sole enemy combatant spared. (Chapters 850–851 and 855–860)
