Inigo

Inigo, known as Fate's Light, was a Ninth-Ring Arcana Master associated with Fate's Hands and the Spiritual Light Institute. A renowned scholar and explorer, he entered Jade Clearmist's secret realm in pursuit of its treasures but surrendered when Su Chen defeated the competing powers. Biography

Explorer, captive, and compromised institute head

Inigo had traveled widely enough that Patelocke once served as his bodyguard during continental treasure hunts. In Jade Clearmist's secret realm, Azure Mark used Inigo's desire for a Divine Feather to draw him into competition with Night God Sun and the other entrants. Inigo displayed extensive historical and Arcana knowledge, but he was also manipulated by a better-informed schemer and ultimately betrayed Night God Sun when continuing the alliance appeared likely to end in mutual destruction. He surrendered to Su Chen rather than die for another faction's objective. (Chapters 793 and 849–859)

Su implanted a hidden internal technique that made disobedience dangerous and used Inigo's institutional position to construct a cover story, obtain information, and infiltrate the Spiritual Light Institute. Inigo supplied knowledge and a poison medallion, accepted Youthful Abundance as a student, and helped stage events so that he would appear innocent of the raid. When Kelesda grew suspicious, Su warned Inigo to flee. The corpus does not confirm where he went, whether the coercive technique was removed, or whether he retained authority over the institute. The Blacktower Book, also called Regilo's book, stored Arcana Techniques on prepared pages and allowed him to release them without constructing each pattern normally. Its manifestations included a golden peregrine, saintly protective light, and layered golden barriers capable of absorbing or obstructing powerful effects. His Divine Guidance was a weakened Ninth-Ring imitation of divine influence that reduced killing intent, disturbed an opponent's gathering and perception of Origin Energy, and altered mental state.
