He Xu

He Xu is an Immortal Temple infiltrator whose Thousand Faces Beast Bloodline makes him a specialist in disguise and bodily transformation. He serves under Shi Mingfeng during the West Laina operation and later accompanies the Temple’s missions in Ravager territory. His effectiveness and earlier loyalty are ultimately undone when greed for a Demonic Emperor’s treasures leads him to threaten Su Chen.

Biography

The West Laina infiltration

He Xu volunteers for the most dangerous part of Shi Mingfeng’s plan: entering West Laina Castle as a Sand Race servant and drugging Culler. He changes shape to cross a narrow breach, avoids visible and hidden alarms, and reaches the castle interior, but an unexpected banquet places him among unfamiliar servants and a perceptive Sand Race expert breaks his disguise. Captured and tortured, He Xu cooperates with Su Chen’s improvised deception rather than reveal the Immortal Temple’s purpose. Su Chen refuses to abandon him, assumes You Tianyang’s identity, and uses an illusion realm to coordinate their answers until the broader operation succeeds. He Xu later helps search Kapius’s physical illusion realm and nearly remains behind gathering gems when it collapses, an early sign that valuable spoils can override his caution. (Chapters 509–553)

Ravager missions and fatal betrayal

He Xu later joins Shi Mingfeng and Night Demon on the mission to supply the Heavenly Might Battalion, survives Astin’s betrayal and the Uhayan Pool ambush, and escapes through the Flowerless Door into the Scarlet Heart’s palace. His disguise ability helps the group pass as Demonic Beasts, but the palace treasury creates a conflict that skill cannot solve. Dissatisfied with the three treasures Su Chen offers him, He Xu keeps an Origin Ring full of loot and argues that the bloodline research Su Chen derived from him entitles him to more. He believes the nearby Demonic Lord will prevent Su Chen from fighting and pressures Shi Mingfeng to support him. Su Chen reveals that alerting the palace is part of his larger plan and kills the Yang Opening cultivator with one Light-Shaking-level blade strike. Appearance and personality

He Xu is a Yang Opening Realm cultivator whose principal capability is the Thousand Faces Beast Bloodline. The corpus does not name his cultivation method, Lotus Platform progression, or a separate signature combat technique.

Thousand Faces Beast Bloodline

The Thousand Faces Beast is a Demonic Beast able to imitate anything of roughly its own size.
