Frost

Frost is a projection of Su Chen sent through the Barrier of Gods and born as Duke Fabino's son in the gods' realm. Growing from an infiltrator with only a strand of Su Chen's will into an independent strategist and cultivator, he undermines the established churches, creates the Shadowless Sky religion, deceives the gods into opening a passage for the human army, and finally returns his accumulated power and experience to his main body.

Biography

A projected life in the Fabino Duchy

Su Chen creates Frost by combining the Human Ancestor's will-projection technique with his own blood-clone research. A consciousness seed and a drop of illusory blood essence cross the Barrier with the Human Ancestor's protection, then enter the unborn son of Duke Fabino. The child is born with black hair and black eyes and receives the name Frost Fabino despite trying unsuccessfully to influence his father into naming him Su Chen. That failure immediately teaches him that consciousness in this realm is unusually solid and resistant to external control. (Chapter 1108)

By age seven, Frost is a level-one warrior with the physical ability of an adult, a result of the blood essence carried by the projection. He also displays political judgment far beyond his apparent age. He secretly creates the curse that turns the Lonely Forest into a death zone, provides suppressive medicine to the bandits living there, and uses their dependence to make them his agents. When their leader Laban disobeys his ban on abusing captives, Frost activates the accumulated curse, deposes him, and elevates the dispossessed noblewoman Isabella instead. His choices build a deniable force while imposing his own order on otherwise uncontrollable criminals. (Chapters 1109–1111)

Frost turns Laban's body into a flesh puppet and adapts Foundation Cultivation to the physiology of the realm's inhabitants. He gives the method to Isabella's bandits, promising advancement to those who learn and transformation into puppets to those who fail. His standard is brutally instrumental, but his objective is larger than local wealth or power: he needs troops, research materials, and an understanding of the gods' system before the Barrier collapses. The bandits become the first experimental base from which he can attack that system. (Chapters 1111–1112)

Breaking the old churches and creating a new god

Frost deliberately provokes conflict between the Winter God and Moon Goddess churches. He persuades Fabino to invite Moon Goddess clergy against the Lonely Forest bandits, engineers their losses, and fabricates evidence that implicates the Winter God Church. Acting simultaneously as dutiful son, apparent child believer, and hidden bandit leader, he gives both churches reasons to attack while keeping the duchy formally outside the conflict. The strategy weakens existing divine institutions and gives him access to the Winter God's dormant heart, which he takes from beneath the local temple. (Chapters 1109–1115)

The stolen divine remnant lets Frost study and begin using faith. Over subsequent years, he expands his network into the Shadowless Sky Church, presents himself as its archbishop, and collects divine power for an invented Shadowless Sky God. He operates under the name Elon when the pantheon finally contacts the church. Rather than claim divinity personally, Frost tells the gods that his master inhabits the Barrier and cannot open it without dying. Su Chen's real efforts to stabilize the Barrier make the lie convincing, because Frost can apparently demonstrate that the hidden god controls whether the Barrier repairs itself. (Chapters 1120–1136)

Frost exploits the gods' desperation to propose an exchange. His supposed deity needs an Origin Beast body; in return, Frost offers a method for moving one through the damaged Barrier by using Sky City's Deep Sea Anchor. He flatters the Mother Goddess's loyal Harpies, encourages the gods to isolate themselves from outside information, and lets them believe the operation will serve their return. In reality, the Anchor creates the stable bridge Su Chen needs to send puppets and the combined forces of the Origin Realm into the gods' territory. (Chapters 1136–1138)

Opening the passage and returning to Su Chen

During the passage operation, Frost stands in church robes at the ritual's highest platform and appears to pray while communicating with Su Chen. His disciples supply divine power, the Deep Sea Anchor stabilizes the fissure, and the invading army completes a formation on the other side. Once the crossing succeeds, Frost joins his main body and assesses the result of a lifetime spent building the plan. The local believers recognize him, rather than the fictitious god, as their actual leader. (Chapters 1138–1140)

Su Chen then converts Frost's accumulated divine power into immortal energy and uses his own understanding as the catalyst for Frost's final breakthrough to Nascent Soul. The two bodies walk together and merge, ending Frost's independent existence. Combining two Nascent Souls gives Su Chen a large increase in strength but does not immediately produce the higher realm he hoped for. Frost nevertheless accomplishes his purpose: his lifespan, church, research, divine power, and knowledge all return to the consciousness from which he originated. (Chapter 1140)

Appearance and personality

Frost is born with lively black eyes and black hair into a population that otherwise appears humanlike. At seven, he is still physically a child even though his blood essence gives him the strength of an adult and the realm's inhabitants mature fully by twelve. He later conceals himself as a figure shrouded in black fog when commanding the bandits and wears the robes of the Shadowless Sky Church as its archbishop. Divine power can cover him in brilliant golden armor, creating the outward impression of a god despite initially providing little offensive ability. The corpus gives no adult height or detailed facial description. (Chapters 1108–1112 and 1134–1138)

He carries Su Chen's patience, curiosity, strategic deception, and willingness to experiment, but life as a separate person gives those traits a colder expression. Frost calmly manipulates churches into war, curses his own agents, and creates flesh puppets without the reputational limits constraining the Boundless Sect. He still enforces boundaries—he stops Laban from abusing a captive—and protects Fabino's interests while using the duchy as cover. His morality is therefore purposeful rather than merciful: actions are judged by whether they support resistance to the gods and the society he intends to create afterward. (Chapters 1109–1115)

Frost is also confident, disciplined, and exceptionally adaptable. He learns from failed consciousness control at birth, converts unfamiliar biology into cultivation and puppet systems, performs the role of a pious child when useful, and negotiates calmly while the gods' voices physically injure him. He never forgets that he is Su Chen's projection, but he develops enough independent judgment to lead believers, command a multi-year conspiracy, and reach Nascent Soul through his own accumulated cultivation before choosing reintegration. Abilities and cultivation

Frost combines the Human Ancestor's projection method, Su Chen's illusory blood essence, locally adapted cultivation, divine power from worship, and eventually immortal energy. His growth occurs in a realm with different physical and consciousness rules, so several abilities are inventions designed specifically for that environment.

Projection body and growth

Frost begins as a strand of Su Chen's will wrapped around illusory blood essence. The consciousness component can cross the Barrier, while the Human Ancestor must shield the blood essence against the Origin Energy Sea until it reaches a host body. Unlike a temporary clone, the projection must live an entire life and mature naturally. The blood essence improves Frost's vitality and lets him reach level-one warrior strength by seven, but it does not grant the full immediate power of Su Chen's main body. (Chapters 1108–1109)

His host body's consciousness is solid, making both outgoing and incoming mental influence difficult. Frost cannot bewitch Fabino as an infant, even with Su Chen's knowledge, and must rely on persuasion, deception, and physical agents. This resistance is a property of the realm's lifeforms rather than a unique defensive technique. The body eventually cultivates immortal energy to Nascent Soul and remains compatible enough with its source to merge back into Su Chen. (Chapters 1108, 1138, and 1140)

Curse, medicine, and flesh puppets

Frost creates the curse saturating the Lonely Forest and a medicine that suppresses its effects. Prolonged exposure leaves the bandits dependent on him: withdrawing protection causes the accumulated curse to erupt, decaying flesh and producing crippling pain. He can stop the decay before immediate death, but the damage already caused does not automatically heal. The arrangement gives him control without relying on the realm's resistant consciousnesses. (Chapters 1110–1111)

His flesh puppets use dead bodies as a chassis combined with supplementary materials. Laban's level-three body becomes a puppet capable of fighting at level four, retaining enough memory to navigate and enough intelligence to follow basic commands. Frost regards this as his strongest early trump card and a route to an obedient army. The process requires a suitable corpse and preparation in his laboratory; it is not instant battlefield resurrection, and the resulting puppet remains an external construct rather than a living subordinate. Adapted cultivation and research

Frost modifies Su Chen's Foundation Cultivation for the people living beyond the Barrier. The method increases their strength and potential despite not belonging to the realm's native warrior system, allowing him to turn expendable bandits into a more useful force. He also studies local anatomy, divine remnants, faith, and Method Power, using each discovery to refine the infiltration rather than treating research as separate from strategy. (Chapters 1111–1115)

His own path eventually combines divine and immortal energy. Worship supplies genuine divine power, initially enough only to maintain a convincing golden exterior. Continued church growth builds a much larger reserve, while Su Chen converts that reserve into immortal energy during their reunion. With Su Chen as catalyst, Frost enters Nascent Soul. The subsequent merger increases the main body's power but fails to create an immediate realm above Nascent Soul, establishing a clear limit to simple power addition. (Chapters 1134–1140)

Faith and the Shadowless Sky identity

After studying a dormant god's heart, Frost learns to receive faith and convert it into divine power. He builds a church around a deity who does not exist, acts as archbishop, and allows followers' belief to generate real energy. This demonstrates that the system responds to organized worship and a functional recipient rather than requiring the publicly described god to be genuine. His followers' faith later influences Method Power during the Barrier ritual. (Chapters 1115–1138)

The golden armor produced by divine power initially offers presentation rather than strong combat capacity. Frost relies on the Eternal Treaty to keep the gods from testing him directly, disguises his true identity from Yormak, and coordinates demonstrations with Su Chen's manipulation of the Barrier. The fraud would be vulnerable to unrestricted divine examination or a forced fight; secrecy, religious institutions, and the gods' own rules are essential parts of the ability's practical use. (Chapters 1134–1137)

Strategy, disguise, and communication

Frost can shroud himself in black fog, adopt social roles ranging from obedient child to bandit master, and use divine armor to conceal himself from gods who have met him before. His strongest form of concealment is contextual: each identity is supported by staged evidence, manipulated witnesses, and genuine power appropriate to the role. This allows him to make rival churches validate his lies and the pantheon validate the Shadowless Sky God. (Chapters 1109–1115 and 1134–1137)

His connection with Su Chen persists across the Barrier once the Deep Sea Anchor creates a stable route. During the final ritual he appears to pray but is exchanging information with the main body. Before that connection becomes reliable, Frost must act independently for years, and Su Chen cannot simply supply power or instructions whenever needed. His success therefore depends on personal inference and long-term planning as much as on being a projection. (Chapters 1108 and 1138–1140)

Relationships

• Su Chen: Frost originates from Su Chen's will and blood essence and shares his memories, research instincts, and ultimate purpose. Separation makes him a distinct actor who must grow, decide, and cultivate alone. Their partnership culminates in coordinated deception of the gods, a Nascent Soul breakthrough, and voluntary merger, after which Frost's accumulated life becomes part of Su Chen again. (Chapters 1108–1140)
• Human Ancestor: The Human Ancestor supplies the projection technique and expends substantial consciousness power shielding Frost's blood essence through the Barrier. Without that intervention, only the will seed would survive and Frost could not mature with Su Chen's physical foundation. His aid makes the entire infiltration possible, although he does not direct Frost's later life. (Chapter 1108)
• Fabino: Frost's host father names him, trusts his precocious judgment, and gradually delegates political problems to him. Frost manipulates Fabino and uses the duchy as cover, but his plans also attack the churches exploiting his father's territory. Fabino's belief that his son will never harm him gives Frost unusual freedom and shows that their bond contains genuine familial trust despite the hidden identity. (Chapters 1108–1114)
• Isabella: Frost selects Isabella to replace Laban after recognizing her courage, ambition, and leadership potential. He gives her control of the bandits and access to adapted cultivation but keeps her dependent on his curse and treats her organization as replaceable. She becomes a capable agent because his opportunity aligns with her desire to reclaim power, not because he offers equality. (Chapters 1110–1112)
• Mother Goddess: Frost deceives the Mother Goddess as the supposed spokesman for the Shadowless Sky God. He uses her confidence in loyal Harpies to secure the Deep Sea Anchor plan, praises her followers, and encourages the revolt that places the Anchor within reach. She briefly heals him when the pantheon's pressure causes injury, never realizing that her intervention preserves the enemy directing humanity's invasion. (Chapters 1135–1138)
• Yormak: Frost kills Yormak's projection and absorbs its divine power, then later speaks before the pantheon without being recognized because divine energy conceals his identity. Yormak's loss helps Frost appear more godlike and illustrates how Frost turns attacks by established gods into resources for his fabricated religion. (Chapters 1132–1137)
