Yormak
Yormak, the God of Assassination, is one of the surviving gods who hunts the agent undermining the Barrier of the Gods. His projections test the new immortal cultivation system in battle, while his real body later participates in the gods' invasion and ultimately sacrifices itself to help collapse the Barrier.
Biography
Hunt for the infiltrator
When the gods concluded that an intruder was sabotaging their plans, the Lord of the Dreamrealm ordered Yormak to send projections into the lower realm. Yormak divided his presence among several locations while searching for Frost. Once Frost chose to fight, Yormak's projections attacked with the Abyss Dagger and spatial restrictions, only to have their divine power absorbed and converted into immortal energy. (Chapters 1129–1132)
After the Barrier fell, Yormak attacked Su Chen from behind with his real body but struck a prepared clone and was driven back by the Tree Ancestor. He later hid in the ruined Myriad Star Field with the remains of his divine kingdom. When Su Chen found him, Yormak burned his worshippers, kingdom, and body as fuel for a final release of Method Power that completed the gods' plan and brought down the reinforced Barrier. (Chapters 1142 and 1147)
Appearance and personality
Yormak's real body has a relatively ordinary face rather than the majestic or mysterious appearance expected of a god. His voice is low and gravelly when Su Chen confronts him in his shattered divine kingdom. No stable description of his clothing or build is provided. (Chapter 1147)
He is predatory, instinctive, proud, and easily enraged by resistance. Even in open combat, he tries to make every strike resemble an ambush, and he interprets Frost's ability to consume divine power as taboo and blasphemy. His final act shows fanatic loyalty to the gods' collective plan: he accepts that he will not survive to enjoy their victory and destroys his own worshippers to advance it. (Chapters 1131–1132 and 1147)
Abilities and cultivation
As the God of Assassination, Yormak specializes in concealment, sudden high-intensity attacks, and innate shadow and spatial Method Power. His strikes gradually restrict the space around a target, and his divine techniques can amplify his physical power. The Unbroken Cycle allows one projection to travel instantly to another regardless of distance. His detection ability is only average, and he is weaker in direct contests of brute strength. (Chapters 1131–1132 and 1142)
Yormak can create several combat-capable projections, conceal his real body, disperse into divine power to retreat, and manifest Flaming Hornets. His signature Abyss Dagger is expected to kill anything it truly pierces, but Su Chen defeats that certainty with a clone. Frost's immortal energy counters Yormak's divine power, exposing a fundamental vulnerability that alarms him. (Chapters 1130–1132 and 1142)
Relationships
- Frost: Yormak hunts Frost as the suspected infiltrator. Frost uses the encounter to prove that immortal energy can absorb divine power and destroys Yormak's projections. (Chapters 1130–1132)
- Su Chen: Yormak has attempted to assassinate Su Chen before his named introduction. He later ambushes Su Chen during the divine war and faces him again immediately before his self-sacrifice. (Chapters 1129, 1142, and 1147)
- The gods: Yormak follows the Temple's orders, participates in its plans, and gives up his divine kingdom and life to open the way for the gods' return. (Chapters 1129, 1136–1137, and 1147)
Items
The finalized item inventory contains no entries for Yormak. His signature weapon is the Abyss Dagger, a divine dagger carrying death and spatial power. Each projection can manifest one, and his real body uses it in the attempted assassination of Su Chen. Its ultimate disposition is not recorded. (Chapters 1131–1132 and 1142)
