Biography

Chairman and migration leader

Alick leads the Stargate Council from its Observatory, pursuing the Stargate Project as the answer to a world threatened by the Abyssal Eye. His lightning existence dominates the council while candidates, constructs such as Lucy, and lower-rank researchers become components of the migration program. Alick prioritizes successful departure over continental cooperation, and the project eventually completes a practical transfer. He immediately leaves with the available Third Rank Wizards rather than waiting for the broader council population, abandoning the apprentices and lower-rank workers who enabled the experiments. His group passes beyond the world, but the novel does not establish their fate after migration. (Chapters 642, 692–699, 956–990)

Appearance and personality

Alick sits beneath a perpetually clear sky with golden eyes and a presence described as the incarnation of lightning. Remote, authoritative, and singularly focused, he values the Stargate objective above family sentiment, factional solidarity, or responsibility to subordinates who cannot accompany him. Abilities

He is a Fourth Rank lightning wizard capable of maintaining immense atmospheric and council-scale power. His central achievement is organizational and experimental: directing the Stargate Project through repeated living migrations until a viable escape is achieved. (Chapters 642, 956–990)

Relationships

• Lucy: Lucy serves as Alick's apparent descendant and operative, though her identity is an artificial construct known to the council's upper levels. (Chapters 629, 632, and 642)
