Council operative and construct
Lucy enters the Borderland as a serious Second Rank Wizard whose presence commands respect from the council-aligned group. She carries a personal connection to Gorsa's youth and appears to be Alick's great-granddaughter, but Ophelia later reveals that Lucy is a magical construct whose artificial nature Lucy herself does not understand. She escorts the mirror and participates in the Storm Eye sealing despite escalating mutations around the formation. The spatial pull ultimately drags her into the Storm Eye. A later observer only senses that she may be ahead in the darkness, and the novel never confirms her return, destruction, or restoration. (Chapters 616–632 and 667–674)
Appearance and personality
Lucy wears a white fitted shirt with a ruffled collar and a grey jacket, presenting a controlled, formal appearance. She is dutiful, earnest, and less frivolous than the operatives around her, even while unaware that her own identity has been constructed. (Chapters 616–632)
Abilities
She operates at Second Rank, uses lightning-related magic associated with Alick's line, and can perform precise escort and formation work under Storm Eye pressure. Her construct body may enable repeated restoration, but no such recovery is confirmed after Chapter 674. (Chapters 616–632 and 667–674)
Relationships
- Alick: Lucy believes herself Alick's descendant and serves the Stargate Council shaped around his authority; he knows the truth of her construction. (Chapters 629, 632, and 642)
