Biography

Candidate, collaborator, and sealing specialist

Corey enters the Borderland as the Glare Family's light-aligned candidate for the next Third Rank position. Her doll-like reserve masks strong formation skill and family pride: when Saul demonstrates a clearly superior Ice Lock solution, she concedes rather than claim an undeserved victory. Their competition becomes practical cooperation during later Storm Eye and Stargate crises. Corey is briefly trapped under the influence spreading through Aurel's red worm network, but continues trying to warn Saul; by the Iskaper emergency, Gorsa has her brought in immediately because her sealing expertise is essential. Appearance and personality

Corey resembles a small, elaborately dressed doll, with movements and speech so mechanical that her jaw can appear separately hinged. She is proud, tense, and emotionally restrained, yet fair-minded enough to concede technical defeat and persistent enough to resist hidden control. (Chapters 655–675 and 950–951)

Abilities

She specializes in light magic, mental concealment, Ice Lock formations, and large-scale sealing. Her knowledge makes her valuable wherever Storm Eyes or unstable spatial breaches must be contained. (Chapters 655–675, 691–701, and 1023)

• Saul: Corey begins as Saul's rival candidate, acknowledges his superior formation work, and later becomes a trusted specialist in the same crises. (Chapters 655–675 and 950–951)
