Lord of All Fiends

The Lord of All Fiends, also called Windfiend, is the true power behind the Seamless Gate. His defining achievement is rescuing its survivors from World God Nuwa, while his later choices repeatedly place the survival of those people above pride, territory, or the nominal authority of the Godking.

Biography

Savior and hidden leader of the Seamless Gate

Windfiend is born from primordial chaos as an Elder God with innate control over the Heavenly Dao of Wind. He remains low-key within the Seamless Chaosworld until the Primordial War turns catastrophic. When Nuwa breaks through to the World God level, he reveals his hidden speed, gathers many major powers and lesser cultivators, and escapes with them even though Nuwa pursues him. That rescue makes him the Seamless Gate's savior and most revered surviving figure. (Chapters 548–551 and 618)

After returning to the Three Realms, he guards the Allfiend world and its crucial golem secrets. The Godking handles daily command because Windfiend has no interest in the miscellaneous work of nominal leadership, but every senior figure understands that his authority and strength are greater. His strategic maxim is survival: before any decisive battle, he prepares to carry allies, families, and future generations away if victory becomes impossible. (Chapters 618 and 677)

War for karmic luck

Windfiend initially avoids routine intervention, then takes direct control when Ji Ning's capture of an Envoy destabilizes the war. He concludes that killing Ning may recover the golem and improve the Seamless Gate's position before the Endwar, and he organizes a strike inside Xuan Yuan's imperial palace. Even while authorizing ruthless measures, he tells the other leaders to remain near him so he can evacuate them if an unexpected Outsider appears. The plan reveals both sides of his command: he will attack preemptively, but he never confuses a tactical objective with the continued existence of his people. (Chapters 677–679)

As the Realmwars continue, Xuan Yuan's disciplined command and the Nuwa Alliance's superior formations steadily destroy the Seamless Gate's golems and karmic position. Windfiend rejects the comforting idea that clever traps can reverse a structurally losing campaign. He ends the war for karmic luck and begins the Endwar while his side still possesses enough strength and surprise to have a chance. (Chapter 736)

The Endwar

Windfiend launches the first strike and meets Ning with a black weaver's shuttle. Once hidden Nuwa Alliance overlords enter the field, he divides his body into two elite combatants to contain Ning and Suiren at the same time. His speed lets him control distance and tie down opponents stronger than either divided body, but it cannot compensate for the Seamless Gate's collapsing formations and mounting deaths. The return of Lord Demonheart briefly changes the balance, only for Houyi to kill him. (Chapters 736–746)

With Demonheart dead and no one able to prevent Windfiend from escaping, both sides understand that continuing would produce casualties without destroying him. Windfiend offers to leave the Three Realms. To secure the withdrawal, he binds and surrenders the Godking, rejecting the younger man's appeal to prestige as the same destructive pride that drove Demonheart. His purpose is to preserve as much of the Seamless Gate as possible. (Chapter 746)

The settlement is interrupted when Old Man Yuan reveals his control over traitors from both alliances. Windfiend joins his former enemies against this shared Outsider, attacks the black-lotus defenses, and helps shield weaker combatants. When Ning's apparent last stand seems doomed, he evacuates the Seamless Gate because letting every survivor die would nullify all earlier sacrifices. Ning ultimately defeats the Mindlord's Primaltwin, and Windfiend mourns Keeper Everwood and the dead of both alliances rather than celebrating narrowly. (Chapters 747–755)

Reconciliation

After the external threat ends, Windfiend asks Ning to let the Seamless Gate rejoin the Three Realms. Ning agrees on the condition of lifeblood oaths, and Windfiend accepts the oathstone as a durable solution that future generations cannot casually break. He participates in the cremation of the war dead and names fallen figures from both sides, closing his story as a guardian of the reunited Three Realms rather than its conqueror. (Chapters 755–756)

Appearance and personality

Windfiend is a red-robed man with unbound azure hair, a thick beard, and eyes filled with azure light. He is calm, low-key, and disinclined to ceremonial command, but becomes decisive when survival is at stake. His ruthlessness has a boundary: he will spend military resources and surrender a failed leader, yet his repeated evacuation plans show that he does not treat the Seamless Gate's population as disposable. He also evaluates enemies without vanity, recognizing Houyi's danger, Xuan Yuan's strategic discipline, and the limits of his own divided bodies. (Chapters 618, 677, 684, and 736–756)

Abilities and cultivation

Wind and Space

Windfiend is born an Elder God with control over the Heavenly Dao of Wind and later fuses Wind with the Dao of Space to an unfathomable degree. The resulting movement exceeds the limits of the Heavenly Daos so dramatically that a newly ascended World God cannot catch him while he is carrying survivors. In combat he can cross a battlefield before most opponents react, chase practitioners of elite evasion arts, and choose when to engage or withdraw. This is extreme movement through Wind and Space, distinct from Patriarch Subhuti's ability to move through different spacetime continuums. (Chapters 618, 679, 720, 748, and 783)

Elder God combat

He trains as both a Ki Refiner and Fiendgod Body Refiner and is an elite Elder God specializing in close combat. His strange black weaver's shuttle can curve into enormous sweeping attacks, and his physical speed lets him evade attacks that would overpower him head-on. He is one of the strongest attackers produced by the Three Realms, although encounters with the Mindlord's defenses show that speed and force do not make every formation breakable. (Chapters 684 and 736–751)

Body division

During the Endwar, Windfiend splits his divine body into two independent bodies. Each is weaker than the whole but still barely reaches elite Elder God power, allowing him to occupy two overlord-class enemies simultaneously. The method expands his battlefield coverage rather than duplicating full strength; he explicitly avoids direct collisions when a divided body would lose the exchange. (Chapters 739–743)

Seamless Gate secret manuals

Lord Demonheart transmits all three great Seamless Gate manuals to Windfiend: Coiling River, Shadowless, and Seven Hearts. Seven Hearts is a heartforce technique requiring the fifth stage of heartforce, which means most major powers cannot use it. The chapters establish that Windfiend studied the manuals but do not show every technique as a named attack in his later battles. (Chapter 684)

Strategic evacuation

His rescue ability has a practical military dimension. Allies entrust their loved ones to him before the Endwar, and he can collect major powers during battle before carrying the survivors into primordial chaos. The process is not instantaneous across an entire army, which is why he bargains for an orderly end rather than attempting to rescue everyone under attack. (Chapters 677, 746, and 752)

  • Godking: The Godking is the nominal commander beneath Windfiend. Windfiend ultimately surrenders him to end the war after judging his pride and leadership destructive. (Chapters 618, 677, and 746)
  • Keeper Everwood: Everwood is a trusted fellow leader whose judgment Windfiend values. His death causes Windfiend open grief after the Mindlord's defeat. (Chapters 677, 684, and 751–754)
  • Daomother Devilhand: Devilhand serves as one of the Seamless Gate's principal combat leaders and follows Windfiend's Endwar command. (Chapters 677, 684, and 739–740)
  • Ji Ning: Windfiend first treats Ning as a strategic threat, later fights beside him against the Mindlord, and finally accepts Ning's oathstone settlement for the Three Realms. (Chapters 677–756)
  • Godfiend Witherspike: The Outsider allies with the Seamless Gate but privately considers Windfiend the only native figure he truly fears. (Chapters 700–720 and 736)
