Daomother Devilhand
Daomother Devilhand is one of the Seamless Gate's most feared primordial major powers, combining ruthless battlefield command with close-combat strength surpassed by very few figures of her era.
Biography
A terror of the Primordial Era
Devilhand's reputation precedes her direct role in the war. She is remembered as a solitary and terrifying killer from the Seamless Chaosworld, a figure whose hands and temperament became synonymous with slaughter. Unlike leaders who operate only through councils, she is both a top-tier combatant and a commander trusted with battles that may decide the fate of entire realms. Her deployment therefore signals that the Seamless Gate is no longer treating a campaign as routine. (Chapter 584)
Commander at Deerchaser
The Seamless Gate sends Devilhand to oversee its forces in the decisive Deerchaser campaign. She manages armies built around formations and golems, continuously reading the field and committing reserves when the balance changes. Ji Ning's intervention allows two Pangu Gods to tear through her battle lines, and Devilhand immediately identifies Darknorth as the cause rather than blaming the formations themselves. She deploys additional golems and arrays to isolate the threat, adapting rapidly even while furious at the reversal. (Chapters 660 and 662–674)
The battle demonstrates the difference between commanding power and guaranteed control. Devilhand has sufficient authority to move enormous formations, but Ning's ability to strengthen allied constructs breaks assumptions on which those deployments depend. Her response is neither panic nor retreat; she converts the defeat into intelligence about Ning and helps the Seamless Gate recalculate his strategic importance. (Chapters 673–674)
Measuring Darknorth
After Ning's apparent death and return, Devilhand studies the reports instead of dismissing them. She concludes that his True God body and sword skill already place him near the overlord level, recognizing that the Seamless Gate's earlier estimate is dangerously obsolete. This analysis matters because Devilhand herself belongs to the narrow class of primordial experts qualified to judge such strength. She treats Ning not simply as a hated enemy but as a cultivation anomaly capable of overturning the old balance of the Three Realms. (Chapter 731)
The Endwar
During the final war, the Lord of All Fiends orders Devilhand and Daofather Bloodswan to attack Tathagata together; neither is expected to risk a solo confrontation with the Buddha. When Ning enters the highest level of the battle, Devilhand meets his sword-light directly. Her jade-white hands, protected by Chaos gloves, block the strike, but the force penetrates the defense and makes her vomit blood. Keeper Everwood's alarm at her injury reveals both the danger Ning now represents and the personal bonds beneath the Seamless Gate's brutal public image. Devilhand ultimately dies in the Endwar. (Chapters 739–740 and 1304)
Appearance and personality
Devilhand is defined most vividly by her jade-white hands and the unsettling contrast between their beauty and their lethal reputation. She is solitary, bloodthirsty, proud, and decisive, yet not strategically blind. Battlefield reversals make her grind her teeth, but she responds by deploying the next formation or reassessing the enemy. Her willingness to share the attack on Tathagata also shows professional caution: she does not confuse fearlessness with wasting a major power against an unfavorable opponent. (Chapters 584, 660, 673, and 739–740)
Abilities and cultivation
Daomother-level cultivation
Devilhand is a True God/Daofather-class major power and one of the Seamless Gate's elite primordial combatants. Her judgment of Ning's overlord-level threat carries weight because she personally operates near that tier. (Chapters 584 and 731)
Close-combat hand arts
Her title reflects combat centered on her hands. She can meet Ning's concentrated sword-light directly rather than evade it, using tremendous physical force and refined technique to stop the blow, although the impact still injures her. (Chapter 740)
Chaos gloves
The gloves protect and reinforce her hands against weapons and energy attacks. They allow her to block an otherwise devastating sword strike, but they are not absolute armor; Ning's force passes through their defense strongly enough to make her cough blood. (Chapter 740)
Formation command
At Deerchaser she controls deployments of battle formations, Pangu-class constructs, and golems. Her skill lies in using different military assets to constrain enemy formations and reinforcing failure points as the battlefield evolves. (Chapters 660 and 673–674)
Overlord assessment and coordination
Devilhand accurately recognizes the combined significance of Ning's True God body and sword skill, and she can coordinate with another major power against Tathagata. These scenes demonstrate tactical expertise and team combat rather than a separately named supernatural sense. (Chapters 731 and 739)

- Keeper Everwood: Everwood is an old ally whose composure breaks when Ning injures her. (Chapter 740)
- Godking: The Godking's alliance relies on Devilhand as one of its strongest field commanders, although her primordial standing exceeds his merely nominal authority. (Chapters 660–674)
- Tathagata: Devilhand and Bloodswan are ordered to attack him together during the Endwar. (Chapter 739)
Items
- Chaos gloves: Defensive gloves used to reinforce Devilhand's signature hand-to-hand fighting and block high-level sword-light. (Chapter 740)
