Lonely King — Desolate Era

Lonely King is the Ancient cultivator who builds and enslaves the Icepeak Army after discovering a Sithe treasury. A Golden Emperor body makes him difficult to kill, while three primary Sithe weapons let him ambush Otherverse Lords, create indistinguishable doubles, and unleash attacks capable of destroying an entire otherverse. His attempt to seize Flamewing ends when he threatens Ji Ning's homeland and is killed by one strike of the Eternal Omega Sword Dao.

Biography

The Sithe treasury and Icepeak Army

The Lonely King begins as an Ancient cultivator and later acquires a Sithe treasury filled with war machines, Golden Emperor forms, and Black Emperor forms. He undergoes the Ritual Sacrificium to transform himself into one of four Golden Emperors, grants the other forms to three Hegemons, and gradually converts Eternal Emperors into Black Emperor soldiers. The resulting Icepeak Army includes its king, three Golden Emperor generals, and dozens of Black Emperors organized into patrol and combat groups. (Chapters 1253–1257)

The transformation carries a hidden price. Every converted officer's life falls under the Lonely King's absolute control, preventing disobedience even when an order is unwanted. He uses that coerced force as a mobile army of Hegemon- and Otherverse Lord-level bodies, gathering intelligence across the Chaosverse and plundering opponents. His cold temperament and willingness to retaliate against entire organizations give the Icepeak Army a reputation for fighting to extermination whenever he is offended. The army's defining campaign begins when three Otherverse Lords kill some of its soldiers. The Lonely King uses a nearly instantaneous Sithe attack to kill two before they can retreat. He pursues the third into the victim's own otherverse, where an Otherverse Lord should be overwhelmingly strengthened, then destroys both ruler and universe. The victory establishes that his power comes not merely from a Golden Emperor body but from a hidden arsenal capable of overcoming an entire alternate universe. (Chapters 1253–1254)

Waiting for Flamewing

Lord Wulf's expedition against Vastheaven Palace discovers that Ning controls the Flamewing God. Flamewing kills five Black Emperors and dominates Wulf, but the Lonely King does not immediately counterattack. A Chaos Primordial's body cannot be harmed by his war machines, and Flamewing could devastate Mount Doom and slaughter the army even if it could not destroy the Golden Emperors themselves. The king therefore waits for Ning's Omega Daomerge to fail, expecting Darknorth's finite remaining life to create an opportunity to seize or inherit control. (Chapters 1261–1265 and 1284–1290)

The strategy also puts him in competition with Realmslord Windgrace, whose Blacksun and regional alliance make an open assault costly. After the failed Daomerge, the Lonely King brings the entire Icepeak Army to Vastheaven Palace. Windgrace proposes a controlled contest that will not destroy the everworld; the king instead deploys his whole army, divides himself into three identical throne-seated bodies, and orders the converted soldiers into an Icepeak formation. His intent is to overwhelm the Blacksun through numbers and force Windgrace to retreat, after which Ning will have no stronger bidder to support. (Chapters 1290–1291)

Threat and death

The opening exchange shows why both rulers are cautious. Three blood-red diamond attacks move faster than Flamewing, but the Blacksun deflects them and shelters Windgrace. The Icepeak Army could surround the machine, yet actually destroying its defenders would consume immense resources on both sides. Ning interrupts before their charged attacks damage Vastheaven. The Lonely King interprets the intervention as fear and demands that Ning hand Flamewing over. (Chapter 1291)

He then relies on terror rather than bargaining. Because Ning has failed the Daomerge, the king assumes Darknorth has at most a thousand chaos cycles remaining and cannot threaten a Golden Emperor protected by Sithe artifacts. He promises to hunt every friend and family member connected to Ning and deduces that Ning's homeland lies near the Badlands Territory. The threat causes Ning to draw a Northbow sword. (Chapter 1291)

Ning crosses the distance faster than Flamewing or the diamond rays and cuts through the silver robes, Golden Emperor body, and neck in one apparently slow chop. The temporal distortion of the Eternal Omega Sword Dao makes the strike too fast to perceive or block. Its power follows karma to the true target, so it does not matter which of the three throne figures is real or whether another body is hidden in a distant realm. The Lonely King's soul is erased, his doubles vanish, and his final expression is an unexpected smile of release. (Chapter 1291)

Ning collects the corpse and arsenal. The three generals and surviving Black Emperors say that the king's death has released their lives from his control and accept Ning's orders rather than avenge him. His former weapons later pass to Nuwa, while the Icepeak Army helps spread news of Darknorth's search for her. The organization survives, but the coerced personal empire at its center ends with a single sword strike. (Chapters 1292–1309)

Appearance and personality

The Lonely King has a Golden Emperor body and sits on a silver throne wearing silver robes, with a blood-red diamond embedded in his forehead. His cold face is famous across the Chaosverse; stories claim he smiles only while killing. When the throne creates doubles, all three bodies, thrones, auras, robes, and diamonds appear identical. (Chapters 1253 and 1290–1291)

He is patient when a direct attack offers no advantage but merciless once he believes power is on his side. The years spent waiting for Ning's Daomerge show strategic restraint; bringing every soldier and threatening unrelated families show the coercive brutality behind it. He understands the cost of fighting the Blacksun and plans around forcing retreat rather than absolute destruction, so his final error is not ignorance of tactics. It is his certainty that a failed Daolord cannot have crossed into a level of Dao capable of nullifying every Sithe defense. (Chapters 1264–1265 and 1284–1291)

Abilities and cultivation

Golden Emperor body

The Ritual Sacrificium replaces the Lonely King's original body with a Golden Emperor form. It grants Otherverse Lord-level physical power and a body that ordinary Hegemons or even Flamewing cannot readily destroy. The transformation does not elevate his Dao beyond Hegemony, and it binds transformed subordinates' lives to his control. Its durability is also not absolute: the Eternal Omega Sword Dao cuts it as easily as ordinary matter because the difference in insight and force is overwhelming. Silver throne

The silver throne is the most valuable of his Sithe weapons. It creates multiple illusory or duplicate Lonely Kings with identical auras, permits long-distance spacetime warping, and can accumulate power for an attack capable of annihilating an otherverse. The doubles complicate ordinary targeting, while the throne itself offers escape and siege functions. It consumes immense energy and cannot hide its owner from an attack that follows karmic connections to the true soul. (Chapters 1291, 1299, and 1305)

Blood-red diamond

The forehead diamond releases red rays with near-instant activation. They move faster than Flamewing and can kill an unprepared Otherverse Lord before retreat is possible. Each throne double can appear to fire one, multiplying pressure. The Blacksun blocks the rays with its defensive shell, and Ning later moves faster than them. (Chapters 1253, 1291, and 1305)

Silver robes

The silver robes are a high-grade protective Sithe artifact layered over the already durable Golden Emperor body. They help the Lonely King survive attacks that threaten comparable experts, but Ning's Northbow sword and Eternal Omega Dao pass through both robe and body in the same stroke. Icepeak Army formation and life control

The king can order the three Golden Emperor generals and many Black Emperors to merge their silver diagrams into an army-scale ice formation. This pools their transformed bodies and frigid energy, letting the army threaten a major war machine through numbers. The same Sithe transformation gives him control over every soldier's life, ensuring discipline at the cost of genuine loyalty. His death immediately breaks that control. Limits of the arsenal

His weapons produce greater burst offense than Flamewing, but every major activation consumes treasure and energy, whereas a Chaos Primordial can fight for extraordinary periods without exhaustion. He cannot injure Flamewing's body and risks losing the entire army to it. The arsenal makes him capable of killing Otherverse Lords, not equal to Sithe Exalts or Autarch-class combatants. Relationships

Ji Ning: The king waits for Ning's failed Daomerge to seize Flamewing, then threatens Ning's family and homeland. Ning responds with the single karmic sword strike that kills him. (Chapters 1284–1292)
Flamewing God: Flamewing is the prize he wants and the strategic counter his arsenal cannot damage. Control of it would have made the Icepeak Army nearly impossible for rival cultivators to oppose. (Chapters 1261–1291)
Lord Wulf: Wulf is one of his three Golden Emperor generals and obeys because the king controls his life. The death of five subordinates under Wulf helps reveal Flamewing to the army. (Chapters 1257–1293)
Realmslord Windgrace: Windgrace is his rival for Flamewing and the only regional power whose Blacksun can contest the whole Icepeak Army. Their battle is interrupted before either pays its likely enormous cost. (Chapters 1265 and 1290–1292)
Icepeak Army: The king creates its transformed hierarchy, equips it, and enslaves its members' lives. They feel gratitude rather than vengeance when his death frees them. (Chapters 1253–1293)
