Flamewing God

Flamewing God is a winged, fire-aligned Chaos Primordial captured by three Sithe Exalts and used as the Jadefire Realm's energy source. Ji Ning dominates its truesoul with a verdant azuresoul, solves the Sithe chains holding it, and gains a companion whose speed, endurance, and near-indestructibility change the balance of power across the Sixteen Realmverses Alliance.

Biography

Capture and imprisonment

Before the Dawn War, Flamewing wanders the Chaosverse freely until three Sithe Exalts cooperate to capture it. They bind its wings and four legs with six formation-covered black chains and imprison it in a hidden chamber beneath the Jadefire Realm's prisons. The chains suppress movement and size-changing while periodically draining its enormous reserves of flame. That stolen energy powers the Jadefire Realm's Decimatus Waves, attacks capable of annihilating almost anything below the Autarch level. (Chapters 1242–1243)

Countless years after the Sithe defeat, Ning, Hegemon Azurefiend, and Whitethaw discover the chamber. Flamewing wakes irritable, recognizes Whitethaw as a Sithe-made Protector, and attacks. The chains stop its charge, while Whitethaw forms a barrier against an hour-long torrent of dark-red fire. Ning finally persuades it that the Sithe are gone by pointing out that the chains have not drained it for a very long time. Flamewing's perfect memory retains its hatred, but its childlike reasoning accepts the evidence. (Chapters 1242–1243)

The verdant azuresoul

Ning has brought a verdant azuresoul modified by Autarch Bolin specifically to control a Chaos Primordial. Because Flamewing loves rare food and wine, Ning first gains its attention with delicacies unavailable inside its estate-treasure. He hides the azuresoul among a basin of spirit-fruit; its scent makes it the first piece Flamewing eats. The fruit's invisible power permeates Flamewing's soul and truesoul, creating bone-deep attachment and obedience without the creature understanding that it has been dominated. (Chapter 1244)

Flamewing immediately agrees to remain with Ning in exchange for better food. Ning does not release it at once: every chain contains many small formations woven into a much larger suppressive and energy-draining system. With Autarch Awakener's Sithe records and his own formation mastery, Ning spends hundreds of chaos cycles analyzing them. When the solution is complete, the six chains separate and withdraw. Flamewing can finally change shape again and adopts the form of a ruddy-faced, chubby man when traveling with the household. (Chapters 1245–1259)

Breaking the Icepeak Army's expedition

Flamewing's first major public battle begins when Lord Wulf and nine Black Emperors threaten Vastheaven Palace. It catches the Black Emperors despite their attempt to regroup, destroys their estate-treasure with fire, and tears apart five of them before Wulf can intervene. Seven Black Emperors briefly match Otherverse Lord-level force by combining their attacks, but the collision only pauses Flamewing and leaves all seven heavily damaged. (Chapters 1261–1262)

Wulf's Golden Emperor body survives Flamewing's attacks, so Flamewing cannot finish him. It nevertheless dominates the exchange, using its wings as shields against his twin sabers and pursuing him for tens of thousands of years while repeatedly knocking him through the void. Ning eventually recalls Flamewing to avoid escalating the clash into a war with the full Icepeak Army. The result reveals its combat profile to the observing Hegemons: greater direct force than an ordinary Otherverse Lord, speed beyond lightning-specialist Hegemons, essentially inexhaustible energy, but little refined technique and insufficient concentrated offense to destroy a top Golden Emperor. (Chapters 1262–1264)

Darknorth's companion

Flamewing's existence deters enemies while Ning prepares for the Daomerge. Both the Lonely King and Realmslord Windgrace wait for Ning to fail, hoping to inherit or seize control of the creature after his death. Windgrace openly offers any price for Ning's cooperation, provoking Flamewing to charge him, while the Lonely King threatens that not even Flamewing can harm his Golden Emperor body. Ning's Eternal Omega Sword Dao resolves the confrontation by killing the Lonely King in one strike, a feat beyond Flamewing's offensive precision. Flamewing remains with Ning rather than passing to either claimant. (Chapters 1287–1292)

Ning brings Flamewing through the Blazesun Domain, where it hunts blackflame serpents, fights Domain Rulers, and delights in seas of fire. Its body lets it ignore pressures that even the rulers must actively resist, although an Autarch-class presence still makes it wary. At the gathering of five Autarchs, the normally brash creature becomes exceptionally obedient. It later travels with Ning's family and household, and the ending still remembers Ning's acquisition of Flamewing as one of the defining events of his journey. (Chapters 1300–1334 and 1450)

Appearance and personality

Flamewing's true form is an enormous bear-shaped beast with scales, four stubby legs, and a pair of wings, its body continuously bathed in flame. When alert, the scales rise and its fiery red eyes focus on the threat. After release it commonly transforms into a ruddy-faced, chubby man for travel and meals. (Chapters 1242–1245 and 1264)

Its intelligence and emotions are straightforward. Flamewing sleeps for immense spans, becomes furious quickly, remembers injuries perfectly, and values food above strategy or prestige. It can threaten to eat someone during an argument and then become delighted by a basin of fruit. The azuresoul strengthens its attachment to Ning into instinctive devotion, but many behaviors remain recognizably its own: hatred of the Sithe, joy in fire and combat, pride after chasing Wulf, and instinctive caution around beings powerful enough to dominate it. (Chapters 1243–1245, 1264, and 1311–1327)

Abilities and cultivation

Chaos Primordial body

Flamewing is born powerful rather than trained in a cultivator's Dao. Its body is described as virtually indestructible and its energy stores as almost limitless. Hegemons cannot defeat it; Otherverse Lords can survive it but struggle to harm it; a single Sithe Exalt can suppress but not capture it. Three Exalts were required to take it alive. Indestructibility does not mean invincibility in every sense: stronger beings can dominate or bind it, and Sithe formations can immobilize and drain it even when they cannot destroy its body. (Chapters 1242–1245, 1262–1264, and 1292)

Flight speed

Its wings provide exceptional straight-line speed, the source of the name Flamewing. It easily surpasses Hegemon Thunderstar, whose Dao of Lightning places him among the fastest cultivators, and catches retreating Black Emperors before Wulf can reinforce them. Speed helps it turn broad strength into repeated close-range attacks, but refined opponents can exploit momentum: Wulf angles his blocks so each impact throws him farther along his escape path, conserving energy during the pursuit. Autarch-class combatants and Sithe Exalts remain faster. (Chapters 1261–1263 and 1291–1292)

Dark-red fire

Flamewing exhales dark-red fire over a wide area. Direct contact would kill even powerful Daolords, and the flames threaten Hegemons and destroy top-grade Eternal estate-treasures. They also slow targets before Flamewing closes in. A sufficiently durable Sithe Protector can seal itself against a chained Flamewing's breath, and Golden Emperor bodies withstand the broader assault, so the flames are devastating but not an automatic answer to every high-tier defense. (Chapters 1243 and 1261–1262)

Physical combat

Its paws, claws, jaws, and wings turn raw movement into overwhelming force. Flamewing kills Black Emperors by tearing open the critical systems inside their artificial bodies, crushing them, or biting through and swallowing them. Its wings serve as shields against Wulf's sabers. It favors direct collisions and has little formal technique, which is why a coordinated formation can briefly stop it and a skilled Golden Emperor can survive by redirecting impacts. (Chapters 1261–1264)

Environmental endurance

Flamewing can cross regions whose pressure taxes Domain Rulers, treating immense energy expenditure as negligible. Fire-aligned environments such as the Blazesun Domain actively please it, and it can remain effective through battles or pursuits lasting extraordinarily long periods. Its endurance makes it especially useful as the front line of an expedition, even when Ning or a more technical combatant must solve the actual mechanism of a threat. (Chapters 1263, 1301–1320)

Relationships

  • Ji Ning: Ning feeds Flamewing the verdant azuresoul, frees it from the Sithe chains, and becomes its master. The resulting bond combines supernatural truesoul domination with food, freedom, travel, and consistent companionship. (Chapters 1244–1450)
  • Whitethaw: Flamewing initially attacks Whitethaw because it recognizes his Sithe construction. Ning's explanation and control allow them to become members of the same household. (Chapters 1242–1245)
  • Hegemon Azurefiend: Azurefiend helps Ning assess Flamewing, quarrels with it over food, and later travels beside it. He understands both the creature's strategic value and the limits of its untrained offense. (Chapters 1242–1264)
  • Lord Wulf: Flamewing kills five of Wulf's Black Emperors and dominates a prolonged pursuit, but cannot breach Wulf's Golden Emperor body. (Chapters 1261–1264)
  • Realmslord Windgrace: Windgrace hopes to gain Flamewing after Ning's failed Daomerge. Flamewing angrily rejects being treated as transferable property. (Chapters 1272 and 1290–1292)

Items

  • Verdant azuresoul: A fruit altered by Autarch Bolin to infiltrate a Chaos Primordial's soul and truesoul. Ning conceals it among spirit-fruit, and eating it binds Flamewing's loyalty to him. (Chapter 1244)
  • Estate bracelet: Flamewing wears a bracelet containing an estate-world populated by living beings who produce ordinary food and wine for it. The storage sustains its appetite during isolation but cannot reproduce rare Chaosverse delicacies. (Chapters 1243–1244)
  • Six Sithe chains: Formation-woven restraints that suppress size-changing, immobilize Flamewing, and extract its energy. Ning later removes and retains them for use as sealing tools. (Chapters 1242–1258 and 1336)
