Realmslord Windgrace is an Otherverse Lord, Dawn War veteran, and supreme leader of the Sixteen Realmverses Alliance. The Sithe war machine Blacksun makes him one of the alliance's strongest strategic powers, while his long relationship with the Autarchs gives him knowledge and communication channels that later help Ji Ning find Nuwa and organize the renewed war against the Sithe.

Biography

Dawn War and the Sixteen Realmverses Alliance

Windgrace earns his position during the Dawn War. In a critical battle he renders enough merit to reverse the flow of events, survives the conflict, and takes possession of the defeated Sithe's Blacksun. He also becomes an Otherverse Lord and rules an alternate universe. The combination of personal power, wartime reputation, and the Blacksun's strategic reach makes him the undisputed leading figure across the Sixteen Realmverses Alliance and the strongest known power in that region. (Chapter 1225)

He lives simply within the Blacksun in the Hiddenfiend Realmverse despite that status. Windgrace has many disciples, including Emperor Skylight and Hegemon Wuye, the latter his only disciple to achieve Hegemony. He treats Wuye almost like a child, supplies him with captured Sithe constructs to study, and delegates the alliance's information network to disciples rather than personally intervening in every dispute. When Skylight reports that Ning owns a realmship, Windgrace refuses to seize it. If Ning can keep the treasure, Windgrace considers it rightfully his; if not, the normal competition of the Chaosverse will decide its owner. (Chapter 1225)

The same report lets Windgrace infer that Ning follows an Omega Dao. An Autarch once explained the concept to him, and Ning's otherwise anomalous ability to kill a lord of a Sacred City fits that pattern. Windgrace therefore recognizes Darknorth's potential before meeting him, though even he underestimates how far Ning's path will eventually go. (Chapter 1225)

Advising Darknorth

Ning visits the Blacksun while preparing for his Daomerge. Windgrace receives him, Azurefiend, Whitethaw, and Flamewing in a quiet courtyard and correctly assumes the visit concerns more than displaying a Chaos Primordial. Ning asks about the Daomerge Firecloud Flower and Incense Spirit-Fruit. Drawing on discussions from the time he served Autarch Titanos, Windgrace explains how the treasures generate simulated incarnations during a Daomerge, why stronger Daos consume more of their energy, and why only the superior Firecloud Flower offers even a small hope to an Omega Daolord. He then supplies actionable information about where such a flower can be found. (Chapters 1272–1274)

Windgrace's help is genuine but not disinterested. He knows that an Omega Daomerge has never succeeded and hopes that aid will position him to acquire Flamewing after Ning dies. He quietly stations Hegemons to monitor the Daomerge. Once failure is confirmed, he arrives at Vastheaven Palace and offers Ning virtually any price, even a lifeblood oath, in return for arranging Flamewing's service after his death. Windgrace says he will not force the decision or take Flamewing early, but the proposal still treats Ning's death as an opportunity and enrages the creature. (Chapters 1272, 1287–1290)

Submission and the search for Nuwa

The Lonely King arrives with the same goal and confronts Ning. Windgrace prepares the Blacksun because open conflict with the Icepeak Army may be unavoidable, but the expected contest never occurs: Ning's completed Eternal Omega Sword Dao kills the Lonely King with one casual strike. Windgrace immediately understands the scale of what he has witnessed. He bows, admits that his own request was arrogant, offers to accept punishment, and recognizes Ning as the greatest pure sword master in the Chaosverse. (Chapters 1290–1292)

Ning gives him a constructive task instead. Windgrace and the surviving Icepeak Army spread word across distant realmverses that Darknorth is looking for a cultivator named Nuwa and will reward the first reliable lead. Windgrace's reputation, alliance network, and access to Autarch-linked messengers make the search possible across distances that ordinary travel would take billions of years to cross. Hegemon Goodsong eventually finds a matching Nuwa in the Bluesky Realmverse and relays the news through that network. (Chapters 1293–1297)

Windgrace uses the Blacksun to reach Vastheaven Palace and personally reports that Nuwa is now a Hegemon, a disciple of Patriarch Treewind, and part of an expedition in the Blazesun Domain. He gives Ning a star map and explains the journey's scale and hazards. The Blacksun cannot bridge the entire distance in one operation without impossible energy costs, so Ning continues by realmship after accepting Windgrace's help for the first leg. (Chapters 1297–1299)

The final Sithe war

When evidence of a renewed Sithe invasion emerges, Windgrace again becomes a wartime organizer. With weapons supplied by Autarch Titanos, he prepares a first-class battlefront outside the Sixteen Realmverses Alliance. More than 105 Hegemons, many with avatars, join the assembled Emperors and nearby powers. This concentration reflects both the strategic importance of Darknorth's homeland and Windgrace's capacity to coordinate multiple realmverses. (Chapter 1406)

Ning and Nuwa inspect the completed defenses. Windgrace reports confidently that the force can destroy any ordinary Sithe assault, while Ning warns that the war will be long and resources must be conserved. Windgrace accepts the instruction. His last confirmed scenes leave him alive at the battlefront, applying the experience and weapons gained from the first war to the opening of the second. (Chapters 1406 and 1409)

Appearance and personality

Windgrace appears as a disheveled or sloppy old man with unruly eyebrows and an exceptionally calm gaze. He often sits beneath a withered tree on a simple prayer mat inside the Blacksun. The unassuming setting contrasts with the enormous war machine around him and the political authority attached to his name. (Chapters 1225 and 1272)

He is genial with disciples, informed, and capable of restraint. He declines to compete for Ning's realmship and shares rare Daomerge knowledge without theatrics. He is also calculating: his early generosity toward Ning is partly an investment in a future claim on Flamewing. What distinguishes him from the Lonely King is his willingness to bargain rather than plunder and his ability to revise his behavior immediately when proven wrong. After Ning's sword strike, Windgrace neither blusters nor hides his prior intention; he admits it and redirects his resources toward Ning's search. (Chapters 1225, 1272, and 1290–1293)

Abilities and cultivation

Otherverse Lord

Windgrace is an Eternal Emperor who controls an alternate universe, placing his personal power at the Otherverse Lord tier. Within the Sixteen Realmverses Alliance he is stronger than ordinary Hegemons and Emperors, but the story often emphasizes his total strategic strength rather than detailing a signature personal attack. His body and Dao allow him to survive at the highest level below Autarch-class combatants; they do not make him a match for Ning after the Eternal Omega Sword Dao. (Chapters 1225 and 1290–1292)

Blacksun command

The Blacksun is a planet-sized Sithe war machine more than a billion kilometers across. Windgrace can use it offensively or create a transversal conduit between distant realmverses. Transport is nearly instantaneous across supported distances, but every tunnel consumes tremendous energy and cost rises with range. Even all Windgrace's wealth could power only a few hundred major transits, and the machine cannot directly reach the farthest parts of the Chaosverse. Its speed and destructive force still make it a peer strategic threat to the Icepeak Army. (Chapters 1225, 1291, and 1297–1298)

Knowledge and intelligence networks

Windgrace has been taught by multiple Autarchs, served Titanos, and can reach an Autarch's personal disciples because of his Dawn War merit. This gives him reliable knowledge of Omega Daos, rare Daomerge treasures, Sithe technology, and distant political powers. He turns that knowledge into action through disciples, alliance channels, maps, and messengers. The search for Nuwa demonstrates both the reach and the limitation of the network: news crosses much of the Chaosverse, but even a confirmed lead takes more than one hundred million years to reach him. Alliance command

Windgrace coordinates realmverse-scale military logistics. For the final war he combines Titanos's reserve weapons, captured Sithe technology, local formations, and more than one hundred Hegemons into a single battlefront. This is an organizational ability rather than a named cultivation technique, but it is one of his most consequential capabilities: the force can defend a region without requiring an Autarch to remain permanently stationed there. Relationships

  • Ji Ning: Windgrace first recognizes Ning as an Omega Daolord, later advises him, then tries to bargain for Flamewing after the failed Daomerge. Ning's sword forces a sincere reassessment, after which Windgrace mobilizes his network to find Nuwa and supports the final war. (Chapters 1225–1406)
  • Hegemon Wuye: Wuye is Windgrace's only disciple to become a Hegemon. Windgrace indulges his obsession with Sithe constructs and treats him with paternal affection. (Chapter 1225)
