Crimson Mother is a High God whose pursuit of godly ascension turns the Moonrite Region into a pasture of sacrifice, curse, and compulsory reincarnation. Crimson Mother enters the Sea-Sealing conflict through Zhang Siyun. After his exposure to the red moon at the Supreme Beginning Netherflight Pillar, shē parasitizes him, and the human imperial authorities knowingly preserve the condition for a later plan. A spell formation and 360 sacrificial attendants force the dormant presence awake inside Forbidden by the Immortal. Zhang Siyun is the human vessel in this operation; the being that emerges through him is a doppelgänger carrying Crimson Mother’s power, not proof that his earlier life and Crimson Mother were always one identity. The awakened doppelgänger immediately reaches for the sleeping god beneath Forbidden by the Immortal. Crimson Mother tears the vastly weaker being from the ground and ignores its attempts at negotiation because shē sees it as food.
