Xiao Yunhai is the master of Floating Cloud City's Xiao Clan during Yun Che's youth and return.

Biography

Clan master under stronger powers

Xiao Yunhai presides over Yun Che's wedding while valuing the Xia family's wealth more than the discarded groom. When Xiao Sect emissaries arrive, he joins Xiao Yulong and Xiao Kuangyun's scheme to frame Xiao Lie and Xiao Lingxi, expel Yun Che, and win favor from a power the local clan cannot oppose. Yun Che returns three years later with overwhelming strength, exposes the conspiracy, and punishes Yunhai without killing him. During the Divine Phoenix invasion, Yunhai remains clan master and reacts with alarm when occupying soldiers seize Lingxi, but he lacks the power to protect her himself. Appearance and personality

Xiao Yunhai is a middle-aged clan leader who performs dignity when his position is secure but becomes submissive before superior force. He is practical, status-conscious, and protective of his own household, yet willing to sacrifice weaker relatives for political advantage. Fear rather than principle governs his apologies when Yun Che returns. (Chapters 14–37 and 325–328)

Abilities and cultivation

As Xiao Clan Master, Yunhai has respectable cultivation and administrative authority by Floating Cloud standards. The gap between him and true sect experts is enormous, and the returning Yun Che can scatter his defenses without lethal effort. During the invasion, even ordinary Divine Phoenix officers stand beyond his ability to challenge safely. (Chapters 22–37, 325–328, and 610)

Relationships

• Yun Che: Yunhai helps exile him and imprison his family, then begs for mercy when Yun Che returns powerful enough to collect the debt. (Chapters 22–37 and 325–328)
