Biography

Sacred-ground alliance and betrayal

Huangji Wuyu enters the Devil Sword Conference as the Saint Emperor, outwardly cooperating with the other sacred-ground sovereigns while guarding Absolute Monarch Sanctuary's primacy. After the conference releases the devil sword's power, he joins the desperate opposition to Xuanyuan Wentian. The alliance fails: Xuanyuan's transformed strength overwhelms the sacred grounds and ends the Saint Emperor's rule along with the old continental balance. (Chapters 772–810 and 915–918)

Appearance and personality

The Saint Emperor bears the solemn dignity of the oldest righteous institution on the Profound Sky Continent. He is controlled and politically cautious, but shares the sacred sovereigns' confidence that their combined authority can contain forces they do not fully understand. (Chapters 772–810)

Abilities and cultivation

Huangji Wuyu is a peak Sovereign Profound cultivator and among the Four Sacred Grounds' strongest leaders. His sanctuary arts and accumulated foundation place him near the mortal world's summit, but they cannot bridge the gap to Xuanyuan Wentian's devil transformation. (Chapters 798–810 and 915–918)

Relationships

• Xia Yuanba is Absolute Monarch Sanctuary's exceptional young disciple.
• Qu Fengyi, Ye Meixie, and Xuanyuan Wentian are his fellow sacred-ground sovereigns.
• Yun Che is first a junior guest and later the only power capable of avenging the fallen sacred grounds.
