Helian Kuang is the patriarch of the Helian Guardian Family and a leading supporter of Duke Huai's rebellion.
Biography
Guardian turned traitor
Helian Kuang brings his family to the east wing at the Little Demon Empress's centennial ceremony, publicly declaring alignment with Duke Huai before the succession dispute begins. He attacks the Yun Family's place among the Twelve Guardian Families and uses its earlier failures to disguise an attempted transfer of power as lawful punishment. Yun Qinghong and the loyalist families dismantle those arguments, and the Little Demon Empress's Golden Crow return ends the faction's military hope. She kills Helian Kuang for abandoning the Guardian Families' hereditary duty, then uses his execution to force other rebel patriarchs to confront their own treason. (Chapters 541–575 and 610–632)

Helian Kuang is a domineering, arrogant patriarch whose name and manner are associated with fearlessness. That confidence collapses under the Little Demon Empress's direct gaze, revealing that his boldness depends on factional numbers and the belief that her authority is weakening. As a Guardian Family patriarch, Helian Kuang is a high Sovereign Profound Realm expert with the inherited arts and forces of the Helian clan. He is formidable within Demon Imperial City but cannot resist the Little Demon Empress after her Golden Crow transformation, and political rank provides no protection from execution.
