Biography

Betrayal in the Primordial Profound Ark

Feng Feiyan officiates at the Seven Nation Ranking Tournament and outwardly defends Divine Phoenix's authority, but fear after the Phoenix God's death leads him to reveal that secret to Ye Xinghan and seek a place in Sun Moon Divine Hall. Feng Hengkong also orders him to find a chance to kill Yun Che inside the Primordial Profound Ark. The competing plots converge when Feiyan and Ye Xinghan attack Xia Yuanba. Yuanba forcibly awakens the Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Veins, drives his arms through Feiyan's body, and releases power that destroys the elder completely. (Chapters 425–466)

Appearance and personality

Feng Feiyan presents himself as a stern, hot-tempered elder whose Phoenix blood and office demand respect. Beneath that pride he is fearful of the sect's future without its divine guardian. He converts fear into self-preserving betrayal, sharing secrets with an outside power while continuing to exercise authority over disciples who do not know he has defected. (Chapters 425–458 and 466)

Abilities and cultivation

Feiyan is an eighth-level Tyrant Profound Realm practitioner and a master of Phoenix flame, making him a high-level Overlord beyond almost every ordinary cultivator on the continent. He can grievously wound the pre-awakening Yuanba, but the explosive emergence of the Tyrannical Emperor's Divine Veins reverses their advantage and destroys him at close range. (Chapters 456–462)

Relationships

  • Ye Xinghan: Feiyan trades Divine Phoenix secrets for protection and joins him against Yuanba, but Ye Xinghan treats him as an expendable tool. (Chapters 456–462 and 471)
  • Xia Yuanba: Their battle triggers Yuanba's forced awakening and ends with Feiyan's complete destruction. (Chapters 459–462)
  • Feng Hengkong: The sect master entrusts him with Yun Che's assassination without knowing that he has already betrayed the sect itself. (Chapters 453–466)
