Yun Qingping
Yun Qingping is the Yun family daughter formerly engaged to Meng Chuan. After choosing to end the engagement, she matures through Eastcalm's invasion, pursues cultivation, and ultimately becomes a teacher rather than a Godfiend.
Biography
From rejected engagement to a teaching life
Qingping persuades her father Yun Fu’an to support annulling her engagement to Meng Chuan, preferring another prospective match and insisting that she does not regret the choice. The demon invasion changes her priorities: she trains seriously and comes to reject her father's fixation on Meng's growing status. Twenty years later she has accepted that she lacks the talent to become a Godfiend. Now an Impervious-realm lecturer at Mirror Lake Dao Academy, she works to teach disciples and treats her youthful decision with self-aware distance rather than seeking to reverse it. (Chapters 1, 3–4, 12, 92, and 245)
Appearance and personality
As a girl she is willful and status-conscious enough to press for the annulment. Experience makes her more reflective and independent; after the invasion she criticizes her father's regret, and in middle age she can laugh at the unequal paths taken by herself and Meng. Her detailed physical features are not stated. (Chapters 1, 3, 92, and 245)
Abilities and cultivation
Qingping practices swordplay and eventually reaches the Impervious realm. She has not attained Sword Force by Chapter 245 and recognizes that Godfiend cultivation is beyond her, setting an explicit limit on her martial path. She instead applies her experience as an academy lecturer. (Chapters 92 and 245)
