Yun Fu’an

Yun Fu’an is Yun Qingping's father and a member of Eastcalm Prefecture's Yun family. Status-conscious and opportunistic, he drives the annulment of his daughter's engagement to Meng Chuan and later regrets severing that connection.

Biography

An annulment followed by regret

Fu’an initially indulges Yun Qingping and brings the Yun family to annul her engagement with Meng Chuan, treating Meng coldly once the arrangement ends. He later gloatingly watches Qingping's preferred suitor fail the Archean Mountain examination. After Eastcalm's invasion and Meng's rapid rise, Fu’an becomes obsessed with the lost connection. By the time Meng is made an earl, his father Yun Wanhai has died, the Yun clan lacks a new Godfiend, and Fu’an openly wishes he had handled the engagement differently. (Chapters 1, 3–4, 11–12, 23, 92, and 190)

Appearance and personality

The corpus does not give a stable physical description, though he looks considerably older by Chapter 190. The narration explicitly characterizes him as skilled at flattering the powerful and trampling the weak. His regret centers on status and lost advantage rather than a demonstrated reconciliation with Meng. (Chapters 4, 14, 92, and 190)

Abilities and cultivation

Fu’an is not shown as a Godfiend or notable combatant. His demonstrated abilities are social maneuvering within the Yun clan; no martial technique or cultivation stage is established.
