Yan Feng
Yan Feng is a spear-wielding genius from an ordinary Yuan State family. Orphaned by a demon invasion and largely unknown before Archean Mountain's entrance examination, he surprises the gathered factions and earns third place in the final ranking.
Biography
From wandering orphan to Archean disciple
Yan Feng loses both parents when demons invade his hometown at age twelve and then wanders the world. After a fortuitous encounter, he returns at nineteen with enough strength to enter Archean Mountain's examination. There he pierces 182 light barriers, crosses the speed tunnel in thirteen falling-water intervals, endures the fifth hail round, and survives the canyon trial among its final seven standing candidates. His unexpected performance overturns his anonymous dossier and culminates in third place overall. (Chapters 76–90)
On the mountain, Yan Feng appears at the welcome banquet and lightly warns a confident junior that cultivating the Two World Divine Body involves three life-and-death tribulations. He later passes the Nine Mystical Caves and departs as an Indestructible Godfiend. The corpus does not identify his deployment or later fate. (Chapters 99 and 133)
Appearance and personality
Yan Feng is tall and handsome, with distinctive blood-red eyebrows, and carries a black spear with red tassels. He remains composed despite entering the examination without the backing or reputation of a Godfiend family. His hoarse exhaustion after the canyon trial and his reminder about cultivation dangers show endurance and practical awareness, though his inner motives are not narrated directly. (Chapters 76, 86, and 99)
Abilities and cultivation
At nineteen, Yan Feng has a Godfiend foundation roughly three times more robust than average and has reached the peak of Spear Force, one step short of Spear Intent. His thrust transforms into a wyrm-like force capable of piercing 182 test barriers, placing his attack near the strongest candidates. Observers speculate that his red eyebrows may result from Undying Grass, but the corpus does not confirm what his fortuitous encounter involved. (Chapters 76–82 and 88)
He later becomes an Indestructible Godfiend and passes the Nine Mystical Caves. No named spear technique, later realm, or battlefield feat is recorded. (Chapter 133)
