Princess Li Ying is the leading young archer of the imperial capital and an Archean Mountain entrant from the Great Zhou royal family. Her examination performance combines a strong Godfiend foundation with accurate battlefield archery, placing her among the cohort admitted alongside Meng Chuan.

The capital's archer enters Archean Mountain
Li Ying begins the entrance examination as one of two sharpshooters attracting particular attention. She survives the fifth hail round, watches Meng Chuan extend the test far beyond the other candidates, and advances through the team combat assessment. There, while Chu Yong holds the front line, she kills a rhinoceros demon commander with an arrow through its eye. (Chapters 79–86)
Her willpower result is comparatively ordinary among the strongest candidates, but she still secures a place in the accepted group. On Archean Mountain she continues progressing with her cohort and is still attending Grotto-Heaven Pavilion lectures shortly before Meng Chuan leaves the mountain.
