Shi Xiu

Shi Xiu is an Archean Mountain Godfiend serving as a deputy general at North River Pass. He fights in the inner-wall formation beside Mu Qing and Meng Chuan, where the demons deliberately redirect their assault toward him after failing to break the newcomer.

Biography

From off-duty veteran to concentrated target

Shi Xiu is introduced among General Zhang Yunhu's principal officers. When the alarm drums sound, he immediately leaves Gentle Hamlet and reaches the pass, showing that his private leisure does not delay his military response. During the opening engagement he occupies a protected close-combat position inside the human formation. (Chapters 138–141)

The demon commanders abruptly change targets and concentrate their elite attacks on Shi Xiu. His comrades respond at once, and the formation prevents his death. In the later mass assault he descends beneath the inner wall, where multiple ordinary third Firmament demon monarchs pressure him heavily. Archean Mountain subsequently transfers him alone to an undisclosed assignment; his later fate is not recorded. (Chapters 143–164)

Appearance and personality

No stable physical description is given. Shi Xiu is shown sleeping at a brothel immediately before an attack, but his instant response to the alarm and continued place in the most dangerous line establish battlefield discipline. Abilities and cultivation

Shi Xiu is a peak Great Solar Godfiend with Greater Mastery of the Realm of Soul. He is trusted in close combat below the inner wall and can withstand ordinary third Firmament demon monarchs with formation support. Concentrated elite attacks or a large group can place him in mortal danger, so he depends on the coordinated domain, ranged, and melee roles of the pass defenders. (Chapters 141–154)
