Meng Yanping

Meng Yanping is the clan leader of Eastcalm Prefecture's Meng family and the younger brother of Fairy Meng. His scenes focus on administering the clan, supporting its younger generation, and preserving family obligations during the opening years of Meng Chuan's rise.

Biography

Leading the Meng family through renewal and loss

Fairy Meng raised Yanping when he was young, so he regards her as both sister and mother. As clan leader, he gathers the Elders at her request and oversees the expanded distribution of silver and Lifeblood Pills to young clansmen, calmly stating that the family can sustain the program for years. He later watches Meng Chuan's public tests alongside Meng Dajiang, attentive to the youth on whom the clan's hopes increasingly rest. (Chapters 5–16)

After the Third Elder dies, Yanping sits in the mourning hall looking markedly older. He directs Meng Chuan to honor the corpse and passes on the dead elder's wish that Meng Chuan enter Archean Mountain and become a Godfiend. This is Yanping's last direct scene; the corpus does not state his later office, cultivation, or death. (Chapter 67)

Appearance and personality

Yanping is introduced as a fat elder roughly twenty years younger than Fairy Meng. He is emotionally open with his sister but composed in public administration, answering concerns about clan finances without panic. His grief at the mourning hall and his care in conveying the Third Elder's wish show family loyalty; broader motives are not directly explored. (Chapters 5–6 and 67)

Abilities and cultivation
