Fan Cheng

Fan Cheng is a plump, shield-bearing North River Pass deputy general and veteran Archean Mountain Godfiend. His perfected Four Symbols Divine Body makes him the pass's leading defender, particularly when protecting sharpshooters such as Liu Qiyue during mass demon attacks. (Chapters 137–188)

Biography

Defender of North River Pass

Fan Cheng welcomes Meng Chuan and Liu Qiyue to the pass after more than twenty years of service away from Archean Mountain. When the demons attack, he stays near the city wall with a shield and hammer, spreads a defensive Four Symbols domain, and commands the line blocking second Firmament demon monarchs. His role is protective rather than passive: shield impacts kill attackers while his positioning keeps ranged Godfiends from being overrun. (Chapters 137–145)

He continues serving through the later fighting and returns to Archean Mountain with the assembled Godfiends after the Great Relocation phase. His final direct status is alive and back at his cave abode; the corpus does not narrate a later realm breakthrough or death. (Chapters 157–188)

Appearance and personality

Fan Cheng is plump and carries a large shield on his back with a hammer in hand. He has a sincere smile, introduces his son enthusiastically, and responds modestly when praised for defense. These scenes support a warm and good-tempered characterization, but do not establish his earlier life or wider family circumstances. (Chapters 137 and 144)

Abilities and cultivation

His perfected high-grade Four Symbols Divine Body grants tremendous strength and a domain of earth, fire, wind, and water about one thousand feet wide. With shield and hammer, he can hold several third Firmament enemies or groups of weaker demons and is strongest at protecting allies. He remains a Great Solar Godfiend near the peak of the Realm of Soul; the corpus does not show him reaching the Darkstar realm. (Chapters 140–145 and 157)
