Demon Monarch Blackrock

Demon Monarch Blackrock, usually styled Greater Demon Monarch Blackrock, commands the demon forces distributed across the Great Zhou Dynasty. A peak fourth Firmament mountain demon close to Regis strength, he uses the Dragonwater Domain to ambush Meng Chuan and Liu Qiyue, but the battle instead precipitates Meng Chuan's Darkstar breakthrough and Blackrock's capture. Biography

Failed ambush and interrogation

Blackrock reports rising demon losses and identifies Meng Chuan's rescue speed as a strategic threat. After receiving a domain treasure for the mission, he hides near expendable demon bait and activates a flood that destroys part of Zhenyou County City. He attacks the couple through the domain, reveals a thousand-foot mountain body, and pursues Liu Qiyue to prevent Meng Chuan from simply escaping. (Chapters 234–240)

Meng Chuan breaks through to the Darkstar realm during the chase, tracks Blackrock underground, and delays him until King Luyue arrives. Blackrock accepts sealed cultivation and promised residence in a grotto-heaven in exchange for intelligence, including Demon Sage Nine Abyss's role. A later report explicitly states that Blackrock died and was replaced as regional commander; the manner and exact time of that death are not narrated. (Chapters 241–244 and 265)

Appearance and personality

Blackrock can appear human-sized, but his true body is a thousand-foot stone mountain form wielding two hammers. He is calculating enough to study targets and protective contingencies, yet willing to drown civilians and threaten another city as leverage. When escape becomes impossible, he chooses cooperation and speaks respectfully to the human Supremacies. (Chapters 234–244)

Abilities and cultivation

His stone body has exceptional strength, regeneration, and resistance to fire; cracks and craters close rapidly, and he can swallow phoenix flames. He conceals his aura and bends light, burrows, spits golden flame, and uses paired hammers. The borrowed Dragonwater Domain suppresses movement across 2.5 kilometers but is separate equipment, not an innate ability; neither it nor his body counters superior tracking and speed.
