Demon Monarch Ape

Demon Monarch Ape is a black-furred, pole-wielding demon first sent through Nine Convocation's World Entrance as a second Firmament demon monarch. He survives the Eastcalm Prefecture invasion and later appears as a fourth Firmament close-combat attacker who again retreats when he cannot catch Meng Chuan. (Chapters 52–66 and 186)

Biography

Two failed assaults

During the first invasion, Ape joins Poison Pool and Domineering Roar under Whitesink's command. His pole nearly kills Yun Wanhai, and he follows a coordinated plan intended to eliminate Fairy Meng. After the other leading demons fall, he uses a forbidden spell to become a black streak and escapes faster than Jadesun Palace Lord can pursue. (Chapters 52, 60, and 65–66)

Months later, the corpus identifies a fourth Firmament Demon Monarch Ape ambushing Meng Chuan and Zhang Yunfeng. He smashes a long canyon and kills hundreds of mortals, but his direct pole fighting cannot trap the faster team. He abandons the pursuit before a Regis Godfiend can arrive. The text does not narrate the advancement between these scenes or his fate after the second retreat. (Chapter 186)

Appearance and personality

Ape has black fur and carries a pole. He is aggressive and laughs when ordered into a killing plan, but he also retreats when continued pursuit risks superior human reinforcements. No human-form appearance, personal history, or motive beyond obedience and battle is established. (Chapters 52, 60, 65–66, and 186)

Abilities and cultivation

His main strengths are speed, physical force, and close combat with a pole. At second Firmament he can crater the ground and overwhelm an injured Godfiend beside another demon monarch; by the later encounter he is explicitly fourth Firmament and can devastate a canyon. His limitations are equally clear: he lacks the concealment and assassination advantages of subtler attackers and cannot catch Meng Chuan once speed becomes decisive. (Chapters 60, 65–66, and 186)
