Dean Zhong

Dean Zhong, whose personal name is Zhong Qianhe, leads Blazing Sun Dao Academy and commands Blazing Sun Castle's archers during the Eastcalm Prefecture invasion. A veteran sharpshooter and Liu Qiyue's teacher, he delays two demon commanders long enough for Meng Chuan to arrive. (Chapters 57–70)

Biography

Defense of Blazing Sun Castle

Dean Zhong coordinates arrows and ballista bolts against Commander Ox, then works with Liu Qiyue when Commander Wyrm joins the assault. Seeing that her Phoenix Divine Body flames rapidly drain her Quintessential Energy, he takes the heavier firing burden and orders her to conserve strength. As the walls begin to fail, he lights the distress signal and continues directing defenders instead of claiming that mortal strength can defeat the commanders outright. (Chapters 57–58)

After Meng Chuan kills Wyrm and engages Ox, Zhong redirects his fire toward lieutenant commanders and stops Liu Qiyue from continuing a forbidden spell. He survives the later demon-monarch threat and, at his final appearance, warmly sends his protégé onward to Archean Mountain. (Chapters 59–70)

Appearance and personality

The corpus does not give Dean Zhong a detailed physical description. His battlefield actions show discipline, concern for his students, and realistic judgment about mortal limits. Zhong is a high-level mortal archer whose sustained barrage can restrain a demon commander when supported by fortifications.
