Archean Mountain Lord

Archean Mountain Lord, personally addressed as Wenyou, is the nominal leader who handles Archean Mountain's daily administration through much of the demon war. He recruits and dispatches disciples, receives intelligence and spoils, turns the Supremacies' strategy into operational orders, and can still fight as an experienced Regis Godfiend when needed. The title later passes to King Sword Nine; references to the incumbent Mountain Lord near the war's end do not indicate that Wenyou has awakened under a new name.

Biography

Humanity’s early defense

Archean Mountain Lord first appears bringing news of Meng Chuan's cultivation to Qin Wu. Where the older Supremacy responds cautiously after seeing many geniuses die, Wenyou is openly delighted that the sect may have gained another powerful Godfiend. He then monitors Meng Chuan's preparation, witnesses the Life-and-Death juncture with Elder Yi, and respects the boundary around Qin Wu's secrets rather than demanding explanations for the disciple's unusual ninth lightning bolt or stronger baneful aura. (Chapters 103 and 112–116)

His office binds cultivation to institutional memory. He presides over ceremonies, sends disciples down the mountain, and personally carves the names of those killed in battle onto Blood Red Cliff. The deaths are not abstract to him: he remembers the faces he sent away, his eyes redden, and he leaves silently after the carving. This repeated cycle explains why his excitement over new talent coexists with close attention to readiness and with the warning that a disciple who can advance should not waste time. (Chapters 106, 112, 118, and 124–125)

As the invasion spreads beyond fixed passes, Wenyou carries daily dossiers to Qin Wu and helps translate high-level decisions into Earth Net searches, city deployments, and inter-sect negotiations. He identifies shortages, reports failed traps without disguising their cost, and agrees to pursue arrangements with King White Treasure despite expecting Black Sand Grotto-Heaven to demand a high price. During synchronized attacks he also leaves the mountain and guards a multi-state region, showing that administrative duty does not exempt him from emergency deployment as a Regis. (Chapters 145, 152, 181, 186, 204, and 209)

The decisive war and outer realm

Meng Chuan's underground reconnaissance changes the scale of Wenyou's administrative work. He helps verify the new range, argues that the sect can legitimately grant resources because no one can replace its top Patroller, and keeps the ability secret while receiving the resulting demon corpses and reports. When the final-city strategy begins, he transmits evacuation orders, explains the demon mobilization, and coordinates the logistics created by mass migration. His role is causal but operational: Qin Wu and the Sect Proprietors set the deepest policy, while Wenyou makes that policy function across the Great Zhou Dynasty. (Chapters 260–272)

Before assigning Meng Chuan to the decisive battle, the Supremacies use Wenyou as the test opponent. His Archean Combat Body withstands Meng Chuan's speed, frost domain, Essence Soul attack, and repeated saber strikes until Heaven's Wrath breaks the outer combat body; a denser defensive body survives the follow-up, and Wenyou forces Meng Chuan back with distorted-void waves. The exchange reveals Meng Chuan's near-peak Regis strength while confirming Wenyou's own profile: technically experienced, durable, and tactically capable, but not one of the sect's elite cultivators reserved entirely for advancement. (Chapters 276–278)

Wenyou continues overseeing disciples and wartime information through the million-demon crisis, but his finite lifespan eventually ends his active tenure. By the victory ceremony, older Regis Godfiends have entered slumber and King Sword Nine is the current Mountain Lord. The new incumbent later receives Qin Wu during the Skydemon negotiations, confirming a transfer of office rather than continuity of person. Wenyou's latest grounded state is therefore slumbering, with no supplied scene establishing an outer-realm awakening or a later cultivation breakthrough. (Chapters 328–334, 536, and 539)

Appearance and personality

Wenyou is introduced in a purple robe. By his spar with Meng Chuan he has white hair, and an earlier reaction describes his beard trembling with excitement. The corpus supplies no more detailed fixed facial description. In combat, the most visible “body” around him is instead the towering black Archean Combat Body, which should not be mistaken for his physical appearance. (Chapters 103, 261, and 276–278)

He is earnest, administratively diligent, and unusually transparent in his feelings. Promising disciples make him visibly excited, failed defenses give him a low or bitter tone, and engraving the dead moves him to tears. This responsiveness does not prevent discretion: he preserves Meng Chuan's secrets, accepts that some treasuries lie beyond his authority, and leaves unexplained matters alone when the Creation Supremacies have chosen not to disclose them. (Chapters 103, 116, 124, 204, 261, and 269)

Abilities and cultivation

Wenyou is an experienced Regis Godfiend with a fourth-level Essence Soul, Dharma Domain-level technique, and a perfected Archean Divine Body. He cultivates several Black Metal Sutras—Archean Combat Body, Five Directions World, and Archean Seal Art—but never masters the lineage's central Five Directions Palm. His broad training makes him useful in defense and testing, while administrative burdens and his unrealized cornerstone technique leave him outside the sect's peak combat tier. (Chapters 276–278, 305, 309, and 414)

Archean Combat Body

The Archean Divine Body combines five elemental Intents to create an illusory combat body rather than strengthening the physical body in the same manner as the Samsara Divine Body. Wenyou manifests a black giant roughly a thousand feet tall, extends its limbs over great distances, and uses its palms to deliver attacks at peak-Regis force. The projection's reach and lack of ordinary anatomy favor long-range pressure, but the system has a critical limit: if the combat body is destroyed, the cultivator's Quintessential Essence defense is also close to failing. (Chapters 276–277)

Advanced cultivation gives Wenyou two specialized forms. The larger body attacks and controls space, while a dense black figure only slightly taller than his true body concentrates defense several times more effectively. Meng Chuan's lightning shatters the outer body's chest but fails to destroy the protective form. Wenyou then contracts the attacking body and produces repeated punches whose void waves strike from multiple directions, forcing an opponent too fast for ordinary palms away without overcoming the opponent's exceptional regeneration. (Chapters 277–278)

Five Directions World, Archean Seal Art, and Essence Soul

Five Directions World provides the five-element domain with which Wenyou contests external forces; even Meng Chuan's Origins Returning baneful aura cannot be suppressed completely, but Wenyou's Seamless domain and Quintessential Essence stop it short of his true body. The chill still slows him substantially, demonstrating that the domain is resistance rather than immunity. His fourth-level Essence Soul blocks Meng Chuan's Soul-Buster attack without gaining a clear advantage, and no distinct offensive Essence Soul technique is shown. (Chapters 276–277)

Archean Seal Art uses the combat body's immense fingers and palms to disorder the five elements and distort spacetime around an opponent. It redirects approaches, impedes movement, and lets Wenyou strike a much faster target once the target enters his controlled area. Its effectiveness declines when frost slows his Quintessential Essence circulation, allowing Meng Chuan to breach the outer body. The battle therefore shows the art's strength as layered control and defense, as well as its dependence on maintaining the combat body's power flow. (Chapters 277–278)

Relationships

  • Qin Wu: Wenyou reports directly to the Creation Supremacy, implements his strategy, and relies on him for secrets and decisions beyond the nominal Mountain Lord's authority. Their scenes distinguish operational leadership from ultimate sect proprietorship.
  • Meng Chuan: Wenyou follows Meng Chuan from promising disciple to indispensable Patroller, safeguards his secrets, receives his spoils, and serves as the Regis opponent used to verify his strength before the decisive battle.
  • Elder Yi: Wenyou's regular partner in disciple administration, the Treasure Repository, Life-and-Death ceremonies, and departures from the mountain. Both are Regis Godfiends whose institutional responsibilities consume time that more combat-focused peers devote to cultivation.
  • King Sword Nine: Wenyou's later successor as Archean Mountain Lord. King Sword Nine presides over the victory ceremony and receives Qin Wu afterward, establishing that “Mountain Lord” is a transferred office rather than one person's permanent name.
  • King White Treasure: A rival-sect reconnaissance specialist whose service Wenyou helps negotiate. The expensive and limited arrangement becomes the comparison that shows how strategically valuable Meng Chuan's own reconnaissance is.

Items

No distinct qualifying personal inventory is established for Archean Mountain Lord in the item manifest. The dossiers, sect treasures, disciple resources, and demon spoils he handles belong to Archean Mountain or pass through his office rather than functioning as personal possessions.
