Elder Yi

Elder Yi is a linen-clothed Regis Godfiend who evaluates entrants and oversees Archean Mountain's Treasure Repository. He recognizes Meng Chuan's unusual spiritual perception, guides his choice and refinement of a Godfiend body, and later remains one of the senior experts available to test younger Regis Godfiends. (Chapters 85–113 and 441)

Biography

Evaluator and repository guardian

Elder Yi attends the final selection under instructions to observe Meng Chuan and notices the candidate breaking free of an illusion at a critical moment. At the Impartation Pavilion, he enforces the three-year commitment attached to choosing a body formula and gives Meng Chuan the manuals for the Lightning Devastator Fiend Body. He explains only the Essence Soul knowledge appropriate to the disciple's stage and stresses that such secrets cannot be leaked. (Chapters 85–95)

He later manages Meng Chuan's succession of baneful-aura refinements, verifies each completed step, and controls access to the Godfiend Blood Pool for the Life-and-Death juncture. Decades afterward, Meng An reports sparring with Elder Yi, confirming that the elder remains active, though not a peak Regis. No death or retirement is stated. (Chapters 107–113 and 441)

Appearance and personality

Elder Yi wears linen clothing and is presented as an elderly man. He is observant, measured, and willing to warn disciples about both institutional rules and cultivation danger. The corpus shows warmth in some conversations but does not provide his family history, age, or private ambitions. (Chapters 85–113)

Abilities and cultivation

As a Regis Godfiend, Elder Yi can fly, perceive completed body refinements, and spar with younger Regis experts. His most clearly evidenced specialty is cultivation assessment: he recognizes spiritual perception, evaluates baneful-aura integration, and determines readiness for protected resources. The corpus does not name his Godfiend body, combat art, or exact domain. (Chapters 85–113 and 441)
