Bruiser is a heterogeneous sixth-order-bloodline beast king born from a Beastbirth Seed and raised by Bai Xiaochun. Their bond becomes explicitly familial rather than a conventional master-and-battle-beast contract: Bruiser treats Bai Xiaochun as his father, repeatedly defends his sect and loved ones, and eventually reaches the Demigod Realm while retaining the playful behavior of the creature Bai raised from birth. Biography

A Life Won Inside the Beastbirth Flower

Before Bruiser is born, Bai Xiaochun grows a legendary Beastbirth Seed into a flower and gathers life essence ancestral awakening blood from many north-bank battle beasts, the four mountain guardians, and the Heavenhorn ink dragon. The flower uses that accumulated blood to form a new creature, but the combination produces a heterogeneous bloodline whose body cannot initially hold itself together. Bai names the unborn creature Bruiser before knowing whether he will survive. When the flower begins to fail, even the Spirit Stream Sect’s Third Generation Patriarch and a further drop of the Heavenhorn ink dragon’s blood can only delay death rather than guarantee a successful birth. Bruiser’s first defining choice is therefore a struggle to live. Bai remains beside the flower for days, sending in spiritual power, speaking encouragement, and asking the creature to fight its way free. After Bruiser briefly stops moving, Bai’s voice draws another response; the creature’s will intensifies until he tears open the flower with flame-covered claws. The observers identify him as a sixth-order-bloodline spirit creature with the potential to improve his bloodline further. His first conscious search is for Bai, whose voice sustained him, and the attachment requires no bonding magic. This origin establishes Bai not merely as an owner but as the person Bruiser regards as everything in his new world. (Chapters 137–138)

The Spirit Stream Sect’s Young Beast King

Bruiser begins life nervous and stays close to Bai as they explore the north bank, but attention and indulgence quickly make him proud, mischievous, and socially confident. He imitates Bai’s lofty posture, charms female disciples, threatens males who approach him, and learns furtive habits from the black dog that helped gather contributions for the Beastbirth Flower. When his thefts cause Bai trouble, he retaliates against the male disciples he considers responsible by stealing and eating their beast resources, then exploits the protection of Irispetal Peak’s leader. These comic incidents also demonstrate early intelligence, speed, selective affection, and an ability to read the loyalties of the people around him. (Chapters 138–140)

Separation from Bai accelerates Bruiser’s independent development. By the time Bai returns to the Spirit Stream Sect in disguise, Bruiser has naturally gained power comparable to early Foundation Establishment without a pill or earthstring energy, refuses a new residence in favor of the Beast Conservatory, and waits for Bai’s return. He instinctively recognizes Bai beneath the Nightcrypt disguise but obeys a private signal to conceal that knowledge. When they reunite openly, he has grown to thirty meters yet immediately shrinks to his birth size and clings to Bai’s clothes, afraid of another departure. He later reveals that he entered an arcane pocket realm and is nearing late Foundation Establishment, although the corpus does not describe that trial or the exact source of his gains. Bruiser’s status as a beast king becomes decisive when war threatens the Spirit and Blood Stream Sects. He can place the north bank’s beasts on guard around Bai, excite them through his howls, and make them follow his commands. When Bai reveals that he is also the Blood Stream Sect’s Blood Master and demands an end to the battle, Bruiser answers him and causes the north bank’s battle beasts to change sides; even the Heavenhorn ink dragon joins him. Bruiser then serves in the alliance’s war against the Profound Stream Sect, leading battle beasts against enemy forces and formations. His attempt to seize the remains of a black-armored star beetle exposes both a strong instinctive appetite and a limitation: enemies can manipulate that desire to lure Bai out of protection. The Violet Core of a River-Defying Guardian

After the River-Defying Sect is established, Bruiser is assigned to oversee some of its battle beasts, but he leaves on his own for dangerous training. He returns covered in deep wounds because he has concluded that he has been unable to help during too many of Bai’s mortal crises. This dissatisfaction turns his usual loyalty into a deliberate pursuit of greater strength. Bai heals his injuries and realizes that Bruiser is close to Core Formation, while the united sect prepares an altar, formations, and protectors for a breakthrough whose success will benefit every division. (Chapters 344 and 354–355)

Bruiser refuses the prepared assistance and meets nine bolts of tribulation lightning head-on. After being driven down by the sixth bolt, he takes the medicine placed nearby, surrounds himself in violet flames, expands to hundreds of meters, and charges into the tribulation clouds. His beast-king aura then draws the energy of heaven and earth into a Violet Core. That Core attracts a mature Nascent Soul beast king and hidden cultivators who try to seize it for themselves, revealing that the breakthrough’s product can be refined by others. Bruiser cannot protect the forming Core and fight those threats simultaneously, so Bai and the River-Defying patriarchs defend him until he swallows it and completes Core Formation. The breakthrough allows Bruiser to accompany Bai on his first sanctioned trial outside the sect. He begins the Mountain of Legacy Seals competition excited to travel with his father, but grows uneasy under the attention of many Core Formation cultivators. When their attacks close around Bai, Bruiser drags him toward safety and takes a lightning strike that makes him cough blood. The rescue fails to secure a legacy seal, yet it provokes Bai into changing tactics and eventually overwhelming the competition’s expectations. Once they return, Bruiser enjoys the resulting acclaim; Bai nevertheless decides that the distant Starry Sky Dao Polarity Sect is too dangerous and leaves him behind again. (Chapters 360–375)

Holding the River-Defying Sect Together

Years later, Bruiser has become one of the River-Defying Sect’s principal defenders. He appears in the war against the three Middle Reaches sects as a violet beast hundreds of meters long, with black fire beneath his feet and a beast-king aura that excites even great-circle Nascent Soul patriarchs. One account calls his power “deva level,” but the later explicit assessment places his cultivation at the great circle of Nascent Soul and says his beast-king nature lets him fight devas without defeating them. Whatever the terminology, he keeps breaking through enemy lines after other defenses fail and stands alone between the sect and three deva attackers until Bai returns. Bruiser’s scars record a separate failure that shapes the siege. Patriarch Dao River had coveted him and abducted Li Qinghou as bait, knowing that Bai and Bruiser both regarded Li Qinghou as family. Bruiser risked himself in the rescue attempt, suffered a severe neck wound, and escaped only after the sect’s patriarchs and reserves intervened; Li Qinghou remained captive and blamed himself for the outcome. During the later battle, touching that scar makes Bruiser’s joy at Bai’s return turn to grief. His imperfect vocal communication makes explanation difficult, but he conveys enough for Bai to understand the capture and immediately attack the Dao River Court. (Chapters 862 and 871–874)

Bruiser follows Bai to the ruined enemy sect, reunites affectionately with Li Qinghou, and brings more than a thousand River-Defying airships when asked. He then studies Bai’s methods for stripping the defeated sect of its resources, uses voluntary size changes to search narrow spaces, and turns the practical lesson into another source of pride. Back home, Bai learns that Bruiser’s efforts were central to the sect surviving long enough for his return. Bruiser also presents a large community of female spirit beasts and their offspring, showing that his place in the sect has become both military and generational rather than merely that of Bai’s personal companion. Bruiser remains at the front when hostile devas later invade the River-Defying Sect. He and the Blood Ancestor reinforce a failing defensive shield and attempt to intercept the attackers, but both can only delay enemies at that level and are knocked aside. After the Heavenspan war spreads farther, Bruiser fights beside the sect’s surviving forces in the Wildlands. The destruction of the Heavenspan Realm then throws him into the Eternal Immortal Domains among strangers. Unable to sense Bai, he follows a familiar blood fluctuation to Song Junwan, realizes it comes from the unborn child she carries, and chooses to protect both mother and child while hoping to find Bai again. A Totemic Shield in the Eternal Immortal Domains

Bruiser’s choice makes him Song Junwan’s guardian throughout their exile in Vile-Emperor territory. His steadily improving battle prowess reaches the Deva Realm, discouraging hostile schemes against her while they travel to join Li Qinghou, Patriarch Spirit Stream, and the other Heavenspan survivors. This work replaces the sect-wide battlefield role he once held with a more focused family duty: until Bai can be found, Bruiser takes responsibility for someone carrying Bai’s child. The corpus does not describe his Deva breakthrough, the resources behind it, or the stage at which he first learns his later protective transformation. (Chapters 1075, 1163, and 1178)

When the Vile-Prince captures Song Junwan and Zhou Zimo, a totemic image of Bruiser on Song Junwan’s forearm creates a violet shield around both women. It resists a formation intended to extract their blood and their unborn children’s essences long enough for rescue to arrive. Bai later judges that Bruiser’s protection and the children’s powerful lives are the reason the women survive, but the defense also leaves Bruiser gravely depleted. Bai extracts him from the tattoo and places him on a restorative floor of the Daoist Tower of Life and Death. Bruiser awakens after extended recovery and immediately reunites with Bai. By then he has reached the Demigod Realm, an advancement that occurs while he is recuperating but whose mechanism is not stated. He can perceive Bai Xiaochi even when the fan’s spirit automaton is hidden, and he treats the unfamiliar fan as a new home once Bai shows it to him. His demigod appearance is intimidating, yet he still pounces on Bai, licks his face, and rolls on the ground, preserving the childlike side of their relationship despite his new power. After Song Junwan and Zhou Zimo recover, Bruiser is drawn to the aura of the child inside Zhou Zimo just as he had been to the one Song Junwan carried. Both women feel close to him because of his protection, and he remains with them on the fan when Bai refuses to expose him to another dangerous expedition. His concern at Bai’s departure shows that protection has become reciprocal: Bruiser wants to accompany his father, while Bai now limits his participation because the totem defense nearly cost him his life. The Recreated North Bank and Later Peace

As the Mortal Renegade’s threat approaches its final stage, Bruiser gathers with Bai’s family and oldest companions in a reconstruction of the Spirit Stream Sect. When Bai visits the recreated Beast Conservatory, Bruiser shrinks to the form he had at birth and joins him in remembering their first home. The scene returns their relationship to its beginning at a moment when the Eternal Immortal Domains may be destroyed, making shared memory—not battlefield command—the contribution Bruiser can offer before Bai’s final confrontation. The corpus does not assign Bruiser a direct role in that confrontation. (Chapters 1281–1282)

Bruiser survives the crisis and remains part of the peaceful cultivation world that follows. He again becomes as prominent as he had been in the River-Defying Sect and sires countless offspring, extending the family of spirit beasts he had already assembled there. His final cultivation after the Demigod Realm, the identity of his later partners, and the exact institutional role he holds are not stated. His last recorded condition is therefore alive, influential among beasts, and still within the civilization Bai and their companions preserve. (Chapter 1313)

Appearance and personality

At birth, Bruiser resembles several species at once: he has a horse’s body, a dragon’s head, black reptilian scales, pangolin-like clawed feet, sharp teeth with a seven-colored glow, a long Heavenhorn-like horn, and a crest of white hair along his back. Black flame flickers in his intelligent eyes and beneath his feet. Later descriptions emphasize a dragon-and-qilin mixture, violet coloration, a sturdy build, and a vicious silhouette. These details reflect his growth and changing forms, but the corpus does not establish whether every color change is permanent or connected to cultivation. (Chapters 137–138, 857, 862, and 1200)

Bruiser can alter his size to suit the situation. He grows from a small newborn to thirty meters when greeting Bai, reaches hundreds of meters in battle, expands to roughly six hundred meters during Core Formation, and can shrink to a hand-sized or birth-sized form. Upon reaching Demigod cultivation, he adopts an average-person height while touring the sovereign fan. His central trait is absolute familial loyalty. Bruiser is playful and openly affectionate with Bai, but becomes vigilant or ferocious when Bai, Li Qinghou, Song Junwan, their children, or the sect are threatened. He is also proud, impressionable, and mischievous: he imitates Bai’s theatrical manner, learns habits from other beasts, enjoys praise, and has a persistent attraction to female disciples and creatures. Although he cannot converse in ordinary human speech, he understands complex requests and communicates through looks, howls, yips, and other sounds that Bai can interpret more precisely than most people. Abilities and cultivation

Bruiser’s power arises from his composite bloodline and maturation as a beast king. His abilities center on natural cultivation, physical transformation, flame, speed, influence over other beasts, and a late protective totem form. Several major advancements occur during long separations or recovery, so the corpus establishes their results more clearly than their methods.

A heterogeneous sixth-order bloodline

Bruiser is formed from life essence ancestral awakening blood gathered through a Beastbirth Flower. The contributors include ordinary battle beasts, stronger sect beasts, four mountain guardians, and the Heavenhorn ink dragon, but the text does not map individual traits to individual donors. The resulting heterogeneous bloodline almost kills him because his mind initially cannot keep his body together. Surviving raises the observers’ assessment from an apparent fifth-order bloodline to a sixth-order one, recognizable because he can produce a magical effect—flame around his claws—from birth. Size changing, flame, speed, and physical force

Bruiser can change from a hand-sized creature able to hide inside Bai’s clothing to a body hundreds of meters long. He uses smaller forms for concealment, affection, and searching narrow spaces, while larger forms amplify his battlefield presence. His claws are razor-sharp from birth, his bite and raw power astonish Spirit Stream disciples, and his speed allows him to evade most pursuers and break through enemy lines. He is not invulnerable: lightning, concentrated Core Formation attacks, and devas wound or repel him, and Bai sometimes has to withdraw him from threats beyond his level. Black flames normally appear beneath Bruiser’s feet and intensify when he moves quickly. During his Core Formation tribulation they become a sea of violet fire as he charges the lightning clouds, while later descriptions again use black. The fire visibly accompanies movement, combat, and cultivation pressure, but the corpus does not name a technique, explain how he produces it, define its temperature, or clearly show it burning a specific target independently. The source presents these as demonstrated senses and judgment but does not define a sensing radius, a formal divine-sense technique, or whether recognizing Bai and his bloodline is an effect unique to their bond. Protective totem transformation

Bruiser can transform into a totemic tattoo on Song Junwan’s arm that generates a violet shield. The barrier covers both Song Junwan and Zhou Zimo and withstands the Vile-Prince’s extraction formation long enough for Bai and Song Que to intervene. It protects not only the two women but also their unborn children, making it Bruiser’s strongest demonstrated defensive application and the culmination of his guardian role. The ability carries serious consequences. Bruiser is left unconscious and requires prolonged recovery within the Daoist Tower of Life and Death, although he advances to Demigod during or by the end of that recuperation. Bai explicitly does not know when Bruiser learned to become a tattoo, and the source does not explain whether the form requires physical contact, how the shield is powered, whether Bruiser can end it at will, or how much of his later advancement results from the tower rather than natural recovery.
